The url says God of War 2 details - the article is also especially vague about the source of the info. I highly doubt the validity of this info so I'll wait for official word on this. It would awesome if true though.

Anyone hoping that GoW 3 DOESN'T come out next year? I am. I mean, think about it; GoW 2 came out March 2007 (meaning that they probably finshed it, in what Jan 2007?). And assuming that the team wouldn't have immediately began work on 3, it doesn't feel like it's been in production for long enough. I hope they don't rush it out because sony is putting pressure on the team to have the project finished next year. I'd like to know that a good 3 years has been spent on it. Anyway, March 2010 would be just fine. Now if you'll excuse me, i have a donut to eat so get lost!!

MGS4 ended the story of a lengendary soldier that have been fighting for long years. MGS4 ended a 20 years old storyline which is huge. No game and no series have reached what the Metal Gear franchise achieved in terms of storytelling. Not to mention the introduction of the stealth genre and set the bar high in almost every aspect in video games. Ever since MGS1, game developers been integrating gameplay elements and ideas from the stealth game in their own games and the franchise been a reference of what games should be like in terms of quality. Nowadays, you will find "Metal Gear" in most 3rd person adventures games. The history of the Metal Gear franchise is bigger and larger than the God of War games and Hideo Kojima's name is mentioned by millions of gamers out there around the world and game developers have been inspired by this guy's work and achievements. GOW was introduced to gamers last generation whereas Metal Gear been kicking since 1987, the 2D era. Anyway, GOWIII apparently will have kick ass untouchable visuals according to those who've seen it and I am glad PS3 exclusives are evolving but please don't start judging games based on visuals alone. Thank you.

Zomg! The guy writes walls of text for each user that says anything about metal gear!

He may or may not be basing it on visuals alone. Maybe he is basing it on the fact that the story of this franchise is great, it has great gameplay, great puzzles, GoW2 had some of the best on PS2 and thats saying something... Sure, to some, visuals make the game, but you and I know that it needs a well fleshed out story and great gameplay mechanics. GoW and MG series' have all of those. Visuals are just icing on the cake.

Hm, I wonder when they'll actually use Kratos' brother in the story... I wonder if they'll make it like "Okay, here you play as Kratos, now you play as his brother who is hunting Kratos." I like games that do that.

Why? Both MGS4 and GTAIV have terrible online modes and they didn't ruin everything people just ignore them and pretend they didn't exist.

WHAT WHAT WHAT.... MGS4 has what... My dear sir I LOVE and Plenty of People Love the MGO...

Most people That do not like it are People that Love COD and mindless shooters like that... MGO just requires you to think A Little...

GTA4 is not that great but it is pretty fun when you and a friend are bored

I guess we are the only two that caught that, cause I didn't see anyone talk about it. Plus I don't believe it just because thequalityof the site, it looks like someone just paid 10 bucks to get a .com name and started making rumors about upcoming games.

so true man, as geeks we all have come to expect a high quality across the board...and that site looks more like a highschool blog, is obviously rushed through due to the "cut and paste typos' and in all reality; the limited info given out and the implication that the person who passed on this info isn't actually that high up the food chain but still managed to witness some gameplay and "snap a few pics" (come on, as if Sony execs are allowing the photocopy boy to wander in with his Canon and snap away like a member of the paparazzi)

yep, seems like complete BS to me.

I bet he is frantically photoshopping those exclusive pics as we speak...

@rogerjak: I agree with your comments regarding hype generated for games based upon visuals alone. Games are interactive, largely plot-driven entertainment. Graphical fidelity is great, but it means nothing if gameplay is terrible, glitches abound, and features uber-weak story lines. Gamers who hype themselves up for games with little merit are only setting themselves up for disappointment.

i LOOVE God of War series .. but aren't they hyping GOW3 graphics too mutch?.. wound't be better to just say "nice graphics" and then surprise, than say "Set a new standard OMG OMG OMG it r0x" and then it comes out not that good?
