New twisted metal thoughts?

the game-play looks fantastic :D

but some people were complaining about the graphics and the added use of a helicopter

personally I thought it looks better then ever, and they still have a while to work on it before it's relased..

I never played any Twisted Metal game before and I never had any interest any doing so but I'm TOTALLY IMPRESSED by the demo they played. That 'Nuke mode' seemed so f'n fun! I very might have to buy this game when it comes out.

People complaining about the graphics: I thought Sweet Tooth in the menu looked fantastic. The game itself was rough around the edges but it comes out in 2011. It's freaking June 2010. We have ways to go and I bet by the end of it it'll be amazing.

I am excited about this as I've been saying for a while now the game was guaranteed to show up. i was begining to worry I was wrong since they left it until the very end of the show.

I think the graphics look fine considering the amount of carnage going on and the speed the game seemed to play. Although I WOULD have liked to see more of the entire game instead of just watching some online gameplay which doesn't really fully portray the game.

I am so-so with the helicopter.However, I like that there is a sniper rifle, as well as other weapons, that are controlled by the driver and not necessarily the car itself. I thought it was cool seeing the passenger climb out the window to use the sniper rifle and in one clip you can see a targeting reticle in the bottom right corner to zoom in on the target. Looked cool I thought.

But at this time, I'd like to see more before deciding if it is along the lines of TM 1, 2 and Black...or TM 3 and 4.

Looks great! I'm watching the G4 interview now and the maps are huge! Can't wait to play it.

Looking forward to everything it has to offer. Back in the day my friends and I constantly played Twisted Metal games together--split screen is an important aspect to retain. I've always loved the career modes and now that it has online and (I'm assuming) trophies, it's everything I've ever wanted it to be :'D

huge fan of the series. as long as they take adavantage of the ps3 with it im in. Want lots of playable characters, lots of environments, huge environments, sweet very destructable environments, bunch of dif game modes, obviously online play duh. guna keep a close eye on this game

i was never a fan of the series but after watching the E3 demo, i am honestly impressed. The game looks like good-ol-fashion fun.

Twisted Metal 2 is one of my favorite games of all time - this game looks like a cross between 2 and Black, and if it's any little bit as fun as Head-On - which it sure looks to be - it's a must-buy for me. It's also one of the main reasons I even got a PlayStation 3 at all.

To me Twisted Metal = Sony PlayStation - TM 1 was a great game, 2 improved upon everything from the first game, Black took the series into dark/mature territory, Head-On showed that the series was still alive and well, and this looks to bring it to the next generation.

Twisted Metal and Gran Turismo 5 are 2 reasons to own a PS3. If you liked any of the previous games in those 2 series' there's nothing I've seen to say you won't like these.

I've been waiting for this since the day I got a PS3. The graphics look good enough and the new additions are fine, so long as the classic game-play remains intact.

I can relate to what you're saying. TM2 was awesome, but 3 and 4 were terrible. TM Black was an improvement over the previous two, but still not as good. Twisted Metal: Head-on for the PSP had developers from TM2 and it turned out great. If this one has the same people working on it, there is reason for optimism. :D

Looks awesome. Graphics don't matter. I'm playing Twisted Metal 2 right now (PSone classics download) and it's loads of fun. I wish I could save in tournament mode (can you?). When I die, I have to start over :(
