is it me or does
frankienstiens car in death race look a bit similar to that first pic? :P
compared to
the sheets of metal across the windows reminded me of that.. all it needs is the tombstone
they should consider putting frankie in the game.. that'd be awesome ;)
While gameplay has been the selling point of TM, I really hope they improve the graphics by the time the game is done. Some of those screen shots look like they could've come from a PS2 :?dk00111im sure they will they have another year to tidy things up :) relase in 2011 man chill :)

It's far too early to tell, although I would've liked some single player footage.

I don't know. I think Twisted Metal will always remain in the PS1 era when I was a teenager. I've never really seemed to care past Twisted Metal 2. Even with the PS2 release.
Great for those who don't really know Twisted Metal and those who have been long lasting fans of the franchise. But Twisted Metal is "dead" to me (for lack of a better term):? But I do miss those old days of TM2.

I can relate to what you're saying. TM2 was awesome, but 3 and 4 were terrible. TM Black was an improvement over the previous two, but still not as good. Twisted Metal: Head-on for the PSP had developers from TM2 and it turned out great. If this one has the same people working on it, there is reason for optimism. :D
Thought I would point something out - Singletrac (later Incog - now Eat, Sleep, Play) were the makers of Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2 (along with Jet Moto). They had some kind of falling away from Sony so Sony's 989 company made Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4, meanwhile Singletrac made Rogue Trip and Critical Depth. Parts of the team that made TM and TM 2 made TM Small Brawl for PS1 and TM Black for PS2. Time goes on and here comes TM Head-On at launch for Sony PSP and it is very close to capturing the fun found back in Twisted Metal 2. This PSP game gets ported to PS2 as a budget title with extras as "Extra Twisted Edition" and now the same company is working on this new Twisted Metal - the same guys who made the announcement were the main 2 guys who made the first 2 TM games clear back then. David Jaffe is also the man responsible for starting the God of War franchise. Please Log In to post.
