next series to play....

well, ive had my ps3 for a few years and ive held off on some major series for one reason or another. i really like uncharted, batman, god of war, infamous, and all fighting games. i have yet to play mass effect, metal gear solid, assassians creed , demon/dark souls and resident evil. what series should i tackle next and why?

 i think id like the action of mass effect, but im not a big sci-fi guy. metal gear seems good as i like some stealth games. i tried assassians creed one for a littlr bit, but didnt get real into it, as i didnt like maps/navigating. i hear 2 is way better. i think id like the action in demon/dark souls, but not the long challenge. resident evil seems like a decent action game.

   so which series should i tackle or another game series?

Metal Gear Solid is the best of all of those. Get the legacy collection. It has all eight of the major games for $50.

I'd say go for either the Mass Effect series or Demon's Souls/Dark Souls. Both are fantastic, can't go wrong with either of them. 

I can't speak for the other series, but the Mass Effect trilogy is really awesome. I'm currently going through the trilogy myself. I'm on the second game right now and I'm enjoying every minute of it. 

Out of those Id choose the MGS series, if you play them in order the 4th game is much more epic.

I would say either Metal Gear Solid or the Mass Effect series :D. Both of them are just great games! :)

cool, thanks for the advice. i was kinda leaning towards mgs or me.  interesting post about trim the fat. i was thinking about that too. but sometimes its nice to play in order. (but i dont want it taking 5 years) i actually own all the games already, plus about 15 other ps3 games ive yet to play. these will keep me busy till ps4,  and red dead 2 come out.

MGS hands down.  One of the best series ever.  Honestly it may be the best series ever (in my eyes) given its dependability in quality of each release and how amazing it is as a whole.  Zelda is my favorite series, but on average probably not as good as MGS.

MGS and Mass Effect are on another tier compared to the other 3. However, you should play RE:4 and just forget about 5,6 and for the love of video games don't play ORC.

MGS first then Mass Effect, If you are gonna play mgs you should play peace walker as well as MGS5 takes up from were peace walker finished, Just read the story wiki on portable ops its good but not worth getting out your PSP again and peace walker improved on it massively.

I strongly recommend the Metal Gear Solid series, pretty much all of them. :)

I just started playing ME2 myself, as I am new to that series. I stared prior to ME Trilogy came out, so I'm holding finsighing it until I get the trilogy pack, therefore I cannot give a honest reccomendation. Although it is a pretty neat game either way. As for the Metal Gear games, I have played all of them all the way through several times, and I highly reccomend getting into those games. Plus, with MGSV on the horizen (the game looks so awesome), I would say it is a solid choice. ^^ Plus the Legacy Collection lets you get all of them at once. Except maybe MGS1, can't remember. Perhaps as a PS Classic download or something - no way have they retextured that game.

Metal Gear for sure, especially since you like stealth games. The cut-scenes will blow your mind. Also, if you would consider it, Resistance series is one of my favorites.

Why are you making me choose between DS, AC, and MGS?!

I'd say hold off on MGS for now I guess. They're considering a MGS 1 remake that you might want to wait for. On the other hand, MGS 4 is one of my top three games.

I'd say AC or DS then.
