That to me just sounds like someone who gets diced up in NG. lolÂ
I'm not aware of any new Shinobi game.
Ninja Gaiden has always been awesome, from the original game on, and Shinobi was a very good game as well on the Sega Master System and Genesis. SEGA has gone downhill since Sammy bought them out though.
Tenchu Z looks worse than a PS2 launch game.Â
Ninja Gaiden was not only the best ninja game ever, but the best action game ever. I love GOW, but its just causual trash compaired to NG. Sigma will only make the best even better, cant wait. I never played Shinobi except for the old ones, which were not very good to begin with. And Sega hasnt made a descent game in years lol.ironwarrior2
Condemned was a pretty good game that sega made in 05 and the sequel will be kick ass.Â
Shinobi is garbage. I used to own that game for PS2, it's literally un playable and frustrating as hell. It was BS at first, but when it came to be crossing an obstacle that required me to cross to even progress through the game (the multiple water falls), impossible to even pass with all your abilities (it seemed like it wasn't even programmed to get me past it), I went and sold it right away. Considering X-Play even dubbed this game as "The Game That Hates You", I completely agree with them. I would gladly piss on Shinobi/Sega for even making that horrible game. A hard game is one thing, cause hard games are a challenge, but Shinobi was a joke.
Â
The only Ninja games are Tenchu and Ninja Gaiden franchises, period.Â

Saying NGS blows is like saying God of War blows. I hope that Shinobi is great. But, NGS and GoW will still be great.

No I wouldn't go that far. It's different, combat, the pace, even the time was different. I personally wouldn't exactly compare GOW to NGS cause you can't cross Greek Mythology with Japan's, presentation, visuals, combat, everything. They may both be action games, but both completely different. It's like comparing Age Of Empires to Star Craft, both RTS generes, but completely different games. Just cause one builds grass/wood huts and the other one builds advanced technology space ships in the cosmos. You gotta compare it to games just like it. For instance, NGS vs Tenchu for 1 example.
now if sega ever do there ninja research and finnally make a good ninja game gimme a call. so u never know maybe they could make a good ninja game one day9thwardicei dont know if you realize this but ngs shinobi and tenchu are all horribly innacurate representations of what real ninjas were. sorry to burst the bubble here but the ninja are widely considered to be the most overly romantacized group of warriors in all of history. seriously. they are nowhere near anything they were fabled to be. if you dont believe me pick up a history book :)

ok i can understand you saying Shinobi but Tenchu? YOU need to pick up a history book
A ninja is an assassin or spy in Japanese culture, usually trained for stealth.
even though i bet you didnt know the meaning of ninja has changed since then Chuck Norris is a ninja too
Nonuse ("the art of stealth") was first introduced to Japan in 522 A.D. as a religion practiced by priests. These priests were not violent people, they were "mystics" who gathered and shared information for the ruling **** The ninja as we know them were not introduced until later.
It wasn't until 645 A.D. that the priests perfected their fighting skills and made use of their knowledge of nonuse. This was because they found themselves being harassed by the central government and found in necessary to protect themselves.
romantacized?...please

no shinobi was horrible ngs is good
no, i think u are out of your mind but then again looking at your sig you are a fanboy so that comes as no surprise.
Fan boys blow
I enjoyed ninja gaiden a lot untill i i arrived in the city part of the game.. where i thought the game lacked direction and i did not enjoy it as much .. (i'm hoping it was just my mood back then because i like the demo a lot again)
Shinobi was not bad i enjoyed it but it was simple hack and slash.. i liked how the enemys fell apart at the same time.
Tenchu just plain sucked after the first 2 on the ps1.... i mean the graphics seem like they never improved... same goes for the ai. I really liked the first two but i'm hoping they will revamp it or a new team takes over who can do the job.
I think Ninja Gaiden is an amazing action game. I enjoyed Shinobi more cause its more of my kind of taste, but as far as which one is a better quality game. That goes to Ninja Gaiden. Shinobi was a little too repetitive, but I wish they would give it another shot. The battle system was awesome and running on the wall was never so fun as it is in shinobi. That, and you can't argue with the speed.
Â
In any case, I had more fun with Shinobi, but Ninja Gaiden was definitely the better of the 2 last gen.Â

 where are you getting your information? Seriously stop listening to television kid. The first proof of assassinations and guerilla warfar carried out by the highly trained professionals that we call inja was in the mid 15th century writings (much later than your 400 a.d. mr. naruto). Much of this activity focused on the Iga and Koga areas of central japan. The ninja were two things- stealth espionage(spying, intrelligence gathering and even assassination.) and mercenaries(they were hired by the daimyo to deal with espionage jobs because they did not feel that samurai should do that type of "dishonorable" work). Not only that but there are NO authentic written accounts of them even being dressed in all black rather as the Buke Meimokusho states:Â
"They travelled in disguise to other territories to judge the situation of the enemy, they would inveigle their way into their midst of the enemy to discover gaps, and enter enemy castles to set them on fire, and carried out assassinations, arriving in secret."
If you dont understand that then that means they dressed up in disguises so that the enemy would think them to be one of their own. The depiction of ninjas wearing all black originates in Bunraku puppet theatre in which traditionally a character dressed in all black symbolizes that the character cannot be seen. Now, it is pretty safe to say during the night time the only sensible thing for them to wear would be all black when they were out sneaking around, and most historians would agree that even though there is no proof, that it would make sense for them to have occasionally dressed in all black at nighttime. And the ninja "magic" that you see in movies and games nowadays- they just used clever gadgets and teamwork. Sorry no teleportatino or anything.
And i will leave you with a direct quote from one of the history books that I have. It is about the Ninja's historical role as an assassin:
"The best-known of all ninja activities, and the one most often exaggerated by fiction and romance, was the ninja's role as a silent and deadly assassin."
So sorry bud, the ninja did not start out as mystics in the 400's. They had low ****origins (one reason they were looked down upon by the noble samurai) and they were mainly spies-not assassins.
