No Beautiful Katamary for PS3!?!?!?

A couple of days ago, in this here website, I read that Sega, Namco Bandai & Capcom were emphasizing their focus on development for the other consoles and now I read this rumor on IGN http://wii.ign.com/articles/800/800761p1.html

Quite frankly I've never been into the Katamary games, so this doesn't affect me at all, but I know there are many "PS3ers" out there that love the series. What do you guys think?

I think Katamary is now exclusive to xbox... But I'm not sure.

it's currently coming to the PS3 and 360. it is a rumor that the PS3 version is cancelled. but thats only a RUMOR.

i do find it odd that they are likely canceling the game on the system that it originated on. kind of a slap in the face to sony. but, what do i care, i'll probably get it on wii anyway. that game never prided itself on graphics, so what does it matter. it will likely be cheaper on wii and i enjoy the wiimote w/ games that use tilt functions.

ive only played the psp one but if it dosent come out for ps3 ill just get the old ps2 ones

from what i've read it's not coming out on the wii, it seems that was also a rumor that has not (officially, at least) panned out. control wise, it seems like the 360 is the worst choice for the game (the asymmetrical analog sticks for one, and also the ps3 and wii's use of motion sensitive controls seem like an obvious feature for this game). while the art direction of this game never has always been extremely stylized and aesthetically low-fi, i do think the graphics and gameplay could definitely benefit from the more powerful hardware (360 and ps3, rather than the wii); things like better physics being one advantage of the more powerful hardware. from what i've seen though, it just seems to be the same old katamari with a higher resolution. that said, i still want this game for the ps3.

Have you played it? Because people I know are adicted to it. And I want to try it but I cant seem to find one. Maybe they will make a Katamari downloadable game for the PS3.
