Look at the game InFamous. It wasn't talked about and it showed up from nowhere.

Well for me it seemed like Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony are saving their big guns for TGS.

By TGS, Sony will probably have confirmed that the controller exists. But right now, there is nothing but speculation about the controller. A new controller is a big deal and Sony would have announced it today because they know that everybody would be watching the conference since it was going to be streaming across the internet(sorry for the run-on sentence).
