bought the game Wet yesterday. played through about 45 mins of it- having stopped and quit the game a few times for breaks. I'm fairly positive I quit through the game menu. then the last time I quit I ended up quitting through the PS button. later, I returned and it said there was no save game detected. so I thought no big deal, I like the game, I'll go through it again, whatever. then when I went to quit, I went and did it through the PS button again and part of me wondered if that was why the saved game was gone. sure enough, I checked right after quitting the game, and there was no game- not the 45 minutes I'd gotten through at first nor the new game I started. I turned it on today and it detected my 45 minute long saved game. I played maybe another hour then made sure to not quit during an automatic save nor press the PS button. I also went back to check (quit game, started it up again). that was an hour ago. now, again, it's telling me there is no saved game detected. I'm wondering if it's the game, honestly. I bought it from GameStop, used; there are no scratches on it but I can't think of any other reasons. has anyone else had this problem with this particular game, or at all? how the hell do I play through the whole game without having to sit there for a marathon of it? thanks in advance. I really like this game and really want to get through it and not have to start over every time I play.

I played through the game 5 times or so, spent a total of more than 30 hours on it and I never had a similar problem. Can't say it's the game to be honest.

by saying it's the game I mean maybe the particular copy I bought, being a used copy.

Try deleting both the save data utility and the game data utility files for Wet. If not, exchange for another copy,

o.... kay....... I wondered if starting a new game, saving it then trying to load again would load my old game, it didn't; then I wondered if turning my PS3 off for a bit would work and WALA! my saved game (the longest one) is there. o.O

What he/she said. Try fully wiping the game data and starting over. Play for a few mins then save and see if you still have the problem or not. You could try to back-up your save file on an external storage and try to load it again after wiping.

I'm afraid I have some bad news. Unfortunately the budget was so small for Wet that the game developers had to make some cuts. One of these cuts was the save game feature. The only way to enjoy Wet is to pack a lunch and settle in for your personal endurance run. Good luck!

I've finished it before, can't recall having any problems with it.

strange, but the only way to get my saved game back is to keep my PS3 turned off in-between playing. o.O

I think your PS3 is trying to do you a favor by trying to discourage you from playing that game.
