Make sure it's not resting horizontally on carpet or any other soft surface, since this may hinder ventilation.  Try wiping dust off from the vents or even vacuuming the vents.  Have all firmware updated too(maybe you've already done this, right?).  I hope this helps.
BTW, How did you get it during launch?  Did you camp out?

My PS3 gets pretty loud too but not that quick. It takes like 3 hours of playing or around 2 hours of running F@H to make it get loud. But it gets so loud that one time i had my window open and i left the PS3 running F@H while watching Tv and i heard aloud noise which sounded like a car,it turned ot to be the PS3, ichecked and it was also super hot.So i turned it off i was scared it might overheat.

EDIT:also you got it during launch which got me thinking that it might be because you have played it a long time and the Fan goes louder quicker like you said in ten minutes, maybe when my Ps3 is 6 months old it will go super loud really fast too?

I also got mine with the Talledega nights Blue Ray and Mine is still quiet as hell..  I do spray it with canned air on a regular basis, and I just bought the intercooler fan from NYKO at walmart for only 30 bucks.  It  is easy to install, and will make the life of the ps3 last a long time.. I would recommend that to anyone who wants to protect their 600 plus investment

it actually doesn't help the system whatsoever. The fans the ps3 has inside are all it needs, Putting additional ones on the outside just forces more air in and out, thus putting further strain on the built in fans. It would be best for you to take the nyko attachment off and return it. Remember, Sony most likely thought the cooling issues through before releasing a $600 piece of equipment.

It gets louder the hotter it gets because the fans pick up speed. Make sure it's well ventilated. Mine went loud once, then I made sure it was in a wide open space and it's been quiet ever since.

Summer is coming. Weather gets hot. PS3 gets hot faster. Fans need to work harder to cool down the system. Simple.:P

Mine gets really loud when I don't clean it with dust off.
