Nudity on playstation 3?

How long before games will have all out nudity? Of course it would come with a M rating, but I think games will try and "shock" everyone by adding that soon. What do you think?

It wouldn't get past the ESRB but it might get through the european and japanese ratings boards much more easily. I don't think that anyone would do that though, if you were a game developer you would be mad to take that kind of chance now on a console game. Personally I would welcome it so long as it was in a context that made sense and not a blatantly obvious we built the story so we could get the nudity scene in, actually I guess that kind of means I don't want it hmm...

Exactly. That's why I don't understand why people made a big deal when BioWare said you could have sex with your girlfriend in BioWare and is briefly showed. It's all right to cut people's limbs off but not okay to see a woman's breasts? Yeah right.

Probably because A-hole protective parents who have no idea how to raise there kids don't want their kids possibly having any kids in which the parents would have to most likely take care of. Hence its more of a personal thing if you kill somone else its not really going to affect them in any way the parents I mean except their kid would go to jail.

I could go on more but I just finished writing a whole lot in class and typings not really what I wanna do right now.

QFT, it's odd that a woman's body even pixelated could be seen as more graphic than all out violence and dismemberment.

The only problems for nudity in games imo is whether or not it is in any context, and if it's over the top fake physical appearance, eg: enormous breasts and an unreal waist etc...It would also be unfair to have only nude women especially since female gamers are on the rise. But seriously does it really need to be there? GOW's nudity was more of a laugh than anything important, although in GOW 1 it did fit his character traits.

Nudity isn't a huge part of life in video games, It's hard to tie it in to a goal or place it in a background without it being obvious or over done. I can imagine Extreme Beach Volleyball without bikinis. *yawn*

Artistic would be fine like famous paintings or statues, anything without the sole purpose of gawking at something erotic. Morbid also works, the girl in F.E.A.R. was technically naked and that made her all the more creepy.

I pray that day never comes. There is enough trash in games as it is, and little of it is there for anything other than "shock" value which is a terrible reason to employ any device, morall or otherwise.

I was wondering when people where going to say that I could care less about nudity in gaming, but I still have a problem with the fact that horrible violence is alright and sex is like omg the worst thing possible give me a break. Oh and seriusly the internet and the GF comment really wasn't necessary.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Rachels cans (in NGS). It won't add much to a game, but it can never hurt. Maybe it would add to the drama of the situation if she was just hanging there at the end naked. You would want to save her that much more.

i think that its just pointless. Honestly there are better ways to see nudity if you really wanted to. So y does it have to come to games. I like real girls not fake video game animations of girls.

nudity is acceptable in any other form of art.

god of war and god of war II had a lot of nipples, but no real nudity.

the AO rating is completely going to waste.
