So I got both the 360 and PS3, chose the 360 version of fallout 3 because of the indisputable differences and superiority of it, which regardless still came with a lot of stupid annoying bugs and glitches.

I cant believe how bad it was on the 360, constant screen tearing and everything. Just shows you how important the christmas season release date is to these greedy capitalists.

I got a friend with this game who would lend me Oblivion for the PS3, Im just wondering what kinda crap port I can expect in the PS3 version? Buggier? Glitchier? Graphics issues?

I've beat Oblivion for PS3 three times. There isn't many noticible glitches besides people getting caught in doors. PS3 version standardly comes with the Nights of the Nine Plug-in. It is still by far my favorite game and I have CoD 4, 5, Rock Band, and all sorts of games. 360 version doesn't have as much as the PS3 version does.

The PS3 was ported much later, and many reviews agree that the PS3 version is superior in terms of visuals, load times, less graphical glitches, etc. This makes sense, as they had a lot of time with this port.

Honestly one of the best games period. No matter what system you play it on. I've played both versions and the PS3 version is slightly less glitchy and slightly more visually appealing than the 360 version. That said I must re-iterate the fact that this is the best game out there. With a compelling story line and nearly limitless re-playability it is a must have for everyone.

please you call me a fanboy even though i ripped on the horrible 360 version of fallout 3? theres no arguing which of the two is better, and if Im a fanboy believe me its for the ps3, I hate Microsoft and they're sleazy filthy business tactics, their capitalist money hunger nature and their lack of creativity in gaming, their best developer isn't even a first party developer and they buy all of ps3's games. See how u got me started? I HATE MICROSOFT. IRREGARDLESS Im happy with everyone elses responses and am now very much looking forward to the game thanks.

PC games usually are much easier to port to 360, as the coding is similar. Games have to be coded from scratch to make the PS3 version, making it generally rushed and worse, even though the PS3 is technically a more powerful system. This is the reason why multiplatform games tend to be better on 360, but the PC version of any ganme is always superior, as it is the native version of the game and you can make it look much better than any console.

PS3 version of Oblivion was an exception though (for the 360 part), as Bethesda had enough time to work through it and refine it.

I played Fallout 3 on PS3 and 360. The 360 version is much better (graphics, bugs etc.). Oblivion on the 360 is one of my favorite games and from what I have heard, its even better on the PS3. Like grahmx said. Oblivion seems to be an exception where a multiplatform game is actually better on the PS3. Bethesdas games are very large with TONS of coding, and your gong to find some bugs here and there no matter what system your playing it on. That being said, do not miss out on enjoying Oblivion.

i own oblivion for 360 and PC... obviously i played the 360 version first.. when i finally got my hands on the PS3 version, i cansafely say its a bit more superior than the 360 version in alot of ways. Load times are faster, lesser glitches, graphics look a bit prettier, and thers knights of the nine too.. Im not saying the 360 version suks, it just came first so it obviously more glitchier and stuff.. So... go for it :D

but i still think PC version is more better.. free mods FTW

Before this gets locked up for not being on system wars, let me tell you that I own Oblivion on both 360 and the PS3.The PS3 version is better than the 360 one, It is more stable ( doesn't crash often), graphics and framerate are better, the pnly drawback is that you don't get Frostcrag/Vile Liar/Battlehorn Castle/Pirate Cave DLC.

YOu gotta get it. You'll be hooked.

As for the performance, it's actually better on the PS3, unlike Fallout 3 for some reason...

the PS3 version is better. Don't forget that the 360 has a different programming so they could've just smacked it onto a CD. But for the PS3, It was being handled and taken care of and was in smoothly. Don't forget that these systems are totally different..The PS3 is actually the successor its just that Microsoft does alot of bullsh** advertising to blind people. That's why The Last Remnant came out on 360 and PC before the PS3 but it would be more better on the darkside system

Eh not a big difference. The PS3 version does run smoother, and looks a little cleaner. As for glitches and bugs they're about the same. The PS3 has some fairly bad ones too, like power attacks not working or bow string getting stuck.

Another thing is the PS3 version has no rumble feature which was kind of a bummer for me. I dunno just adds a lot to the game when you get hit that your controller shakes around a bit to put you more into the combat. Otherwise you just watch the screen shake and your character grunt.

Overall performance wise the PS3 is better, crashes less too. But I dunno I just prefer the 360 versions of most games, because they usually work better/look better (Xbox 360 Controller is pretty nice, strange considering the original Xbox Controller was crap. Yes the PS3 has a better processor then the 360, but it's graphics card isn't quite on par. The PS3 can basically handle more "stuff", but the 360 can easily look just as good. As a rule of thumb I always buy the 360 version of a game, namely because the majority of PS3 ports are released later and or done very poorly. Oblivion may be the one exception.
