Here i am ready to buy a ps3 80gig, when i read that sony will most than likely announce a price drop or introduce slimer models. What are you're taughts? Do you feel betrayed that you purchased a console at such a price tojust then have sony price drop it and get it slimer a couple of more months. I am so mad right now... and don't say its just rumors because sony is so predictable...

Is any of this whole price drop and slim version even confirmed?

Sounds gross..Mine is an older console so it has no slime. Just a lot of heat.

I have found that most things become less expensive after a couple of years on the market. Big screen LCD's have come down about a grand since about a year and a half ago. It'll happen. I wouldn't get too wound up over it.

And betrayed?

It's more the consumer's fault for simply not paying attention! That's what the internet is so important for!

Well it is just a rumor, and those phony pictures are not a slim model, there has been speculation of a price drop for months now and it hasen't happened and it probably won't for quite a while.

Well what do you expect? Should the raise the price to punish the people who didn't adopt it at launch? No. Everything drops in price as time goes on. You should've known that long before you ever purchased a PS3. If you feel betrayed then you obviously have no idea how things work.

Why get mad? If you want to play newer games that much, take a little hit, buy a used system, then sell it and get a new one in the fall. If not wait, and save some loot. It makes no sense to get pissed at Sony for trying to upgrade and drop the price...

What are you going to save in the long run? $100? Hell, who cares. If you want it now get it now. I got the 60 GB model when they dropped the price and they are hard to find and worth the same price used as what they cost brand new right now. Might not get all the bells and whistles.

just get it now or wait until holidays up to you but definitely get it

If you dont think your console is worthy of that price, then dont buy one. I bought my 60gb at laucnh and paid full retail. Till now it has been running strong and perfect. Worth every penny i spent and im loving it.

why do ppl like u always say that we get betrayed? why, and no we didnt, eventually all systems will have a price cut, whether u bought it for 600 or 400, they will get cheaper, so those who did by it like myself before any price cut was mentioned are actually proud owners and dont feel that way actually we feel great cuz of all the games we played and still playin. And NO SLIM PS3 will be out ,not until sony themselves says so. the price cut around augest everyone hearing about could be a good possibility and if so im happy that means more ppl will enjoy the console (ps3) but damn i hate it when ppl say ohhh u feel or got betrayed! why, oh why the F! would anyone be lol

just get it now, cus if they do drop the price it will be at most by 50 or 100 bucks, and your gonna wait atleast 6 months for something that might not even happen? the slim version , if it ever comes out, is gonna have alot of stuff missing that the current ps3s have, pay the extra 50 or 100 bucks and enjoy it right now

Well no because I payed $900 for my 60GB at launch on Ebay when they first launched and I don't regret it. I mean if they drop to $300 then what is $600three years down the line. I wouldn't have enjoyed all the games that I have enjoyed if I would have waited.

not betrayed at all. if no one baught a ps3 earlier waiting for a price drop devs wouldn't try to make quality games or any period. it's a sacrifice i can live with. on top of that i can enjoy ps3 games now while you're still on the fence about it. not to mention when the time comes i can always trade up.
