I h ave one coming in the mail tomorrow. Okay, so it has Blu-Ray, but what DVDs are out that can play in that format? I think this was an impulse buy for me. LOL. If I don't like it, I will take it back for a Sony Vaio laptop. What are the stand out features of this system? I own a Wii, and it's great fun, but honestly Virtual Console is kinda lame. All the games are old and not too fun to play. Also, I have been having trouble with the WiiMote. It seems the sensor does not pick up the signal very well.WhatItIsBroSince you already bought it, you judge it yourself. Do you really need other people telling you whether it's worth it or not ?
Don't take this wrong,BUT I'm always suspicious of people who have low post asking the age old qeustion. Anyway, you say your main reason for buying the ps3 was for blu-ray, but your thread tittle ask is the system worth it. Well if you want it for a stand alone media hub yes, but as a game machine, at the PRESENT moment I would say wait. Because I don't know if I could take another '' WHERE ARE THE GOOD GAME'' thread when the ps3 barely has 4months underneth it's belt.Well, I was hoping somebody would tell me about the Blu-Ray thing, since that is one of the main reason I bought it. I want to know BEFORE I open the box so I can return it.WhatItIsBro
Its ok, I think it will get better. The only thing, that would make me get rid of it, is if Tekken 6 came out for the 360.lonewolfx7that's the main reason i bought my ps3 also. but even if it came out on the 360 i'd keep my ps3 b/c the game would most likely not be a 360 exclusive. it'd be ridiculous to try to sell your ps3 (for less than you bought it for) and then go out and buy a new system (at full price) plus accessories for one game when you already have a system that'll play it.

Is worth it, if you have enough money to sepnd....i mean at least a good lcd monitor (1080 i ) and a good HDMI cable, but trust me....it worths every single dime. Now, on the blue ray matters, let me say this....it can plays every format of cd´s and dvd´s but with one plus... it can starage 10 times the information compared with a common DVD, sooo...:)so, games with more info, with more grafics, better sound, better and bigger extras. I have all redy one, with this configuration HDMI 1080 i, Dolby Digital 5.1, and blow my eyes and ears. For me is the real next-gen console. I know, i know, there are only a few games good enough to be played, but.... so far so good, i can´t wait to see DMC 4, NG- Z, GT HD, FF XIII, KZ.
