Im still pretending the ending didnt happen after all that hardworkgerard-williams
Yeah that ending kind of sucked, but then again it wasn't much of a story heavy game to begin with. Regardless of how crappy the ending was, I did think it was cool how they snuck in that last scare.
[QUOTE="shadowkiller11"]does this mean dead space 2 wil not have isaac what ever his is spelt. EA did hint on a second and its EA that like milking franchisesrogerjakHe could have survived...
SPOILER!
Did anyone notice that she didn't have Necromorph characteristics? Also, did anyone notice that she had full health on the suit? It's true, it showed her injecting herself, but it could've been some type of scapegoat to make the Dr. and others believe that she was now a Necromorph. Remember in the Ishimura, there were some passengers that were mentally unstable, and they were covered in blood, somewhat resembling a walking corpse, which is what she kind of looked like at the end. I think she actually could have been reaching for Isaac at the end, but not to kill him...
That's just my 2 cents.

I need a print from the final scene. I did saw she was a bit less affected than the other, because you could clearly see it was her. Even the hair was there.Maybe it was a prank XD

And in the second game he will be entering the ship for real :oI had told my buddy how this game did not scare me at all. Dont get me wrong the game is amazing but not that scary.......

I see....maybe they will explain it in 2 :PSPOILER! i'm going with he was still hallucinating her like he was the rest of the game.tgschmidt
But she was clearly helping him to open doors, and the Necromorph were clearly trying to attack her. At first I thought the Marker was controlling her, but why were the Necromorphs after her then?
I thought it was great irony, that his love, the one he was searching for and delusional about, ended up being the one who kills him...
well, I think (I mean come on, how can he possibly survive another monster, without having a gun on hand? she totally caught him off guard, so most likely, #2 will have new character...)
it was a spectacular game, with a good story.
Just one question though, what exactly was that woman's position (can't remember her name, the ones who dies at the very end.)
Was she actually a good character, or a bad one? Enemy or ally?
or does it get a bit more complicated than that....?
I was getting a little confused in chapter 12...
Wait, hang on.
So his girl friend got turned into a mutant thing.
But how did she get inside the shuttle?

whats thats a really good find. glad u got a link to the picture as well. opens it up. i didnt think she was ever a necromorph. after the ending scene.*MAJOR SPOILERS*
Here's my theory: The marker was on the ship with Issac right? The marker causes illusions right? I think the most probable situation is that Issac is imagining Nicole attacking him, just like he imagined her helping him throughout the game. The same way Kendra imagined seeing her brother, and Dr. Kyne imagined seeing his wife.(?)Also, Nicole is without a dobut dead. The first letter of every chapter spells "NICOLE IS DEAD."I hope my theory is right and theres a chance for a reappearance by him, cause Issac was a pretty likeable character for a mute.
I thought the ending was perfect. A perfect horror game with a classic horror ending...

I believe the ending was a hallicination, but it has a purpose. I think that it shows that the marker is either:
A) Still intact & working, and it's mad at Isaac for not putting it on its stand (notice it isn't on the stand or the ship).
B) The Marker has had a permanent effect on his mind.
