Great game idea.
However, there's no way they're going to be able to realistically stop cheating. If the game doesn't assign you certain cards to use each round (which is what was said in the interview, that you choose 5 at random out of your deck) then there's going to be nothing stopping people from choosing their five best on multiplayer matches.
The logical fix to this would be for the game to assign you 5 cards from your deck for you to choose each round. But with 110 cards available, that's almost impossible as no one is going to paw through 110 cards (if you buy them all) before each round looking for the 5 specific cards the game chose at random for you to use.
looks very cool. I wonder if it uses a special mechanism to recognize cards or if you could print out card pictures you find on the internet and use those.
Regarding cheating, yes, that's a bit of a problem, but if there were essentially no bad cards, it wouldn't matter too much.
Wow, very impressed with what I saw. If the idea catches that niche crowd, this could be a huge hit.LiquidMetal14I agree if they release card games like Magic the Gathering or other popular games it could be a major boost to Sony. Also wasn't that game console were you scanned in X-man cards a big hit last christmas. I can't remember the name of it thought. If that was popular with the kids you could only imagine what this could do.
A card battle game... Are you kidding me?! That looks good to you guys?!?!wallpaper42
Considering its a new, innovative way to play, yes. Wizards of the Coast is providing the cards, and Magic is fun as hell. The idea of this game is very interesting and I'm definately going to pick it up.Â

people should think beyond what the kids on the school yard say is cool, a game doesn't need guns and blood to be cool. Card battle games can be very strategic. And I don't think I heard anyone say buying Uno or Poker games is dumb

I find it interesting that the camera recognizes what card you put down. I know my kids are going to love this game because now they will actually see the monsters they're summoning. I think it's neat.[QUOTE="wallpaper42"]A card battle game...
