OMGOW!!! You Have No Idea Until You Play!

Listen, if you do not own this game yet... none of the videos or trailers really prepare you for just how epic this game is!!! I game on a 50" 1080P Samsung Plasma... and when I say I have NEVER seen anything like it before... the game is absolutely incredible!!! I promise you will find yourself smiling and giggling to yourself... both from how freakin slick the game looks, and just how incredibly bad @ss Kratos has gotten with the 3rd installment. I'm still in just my 1st 30 min of playtime and just had to stop to share b/c I've never experienced a game this... hell, I don't even know what word to use to describe it! Just get the game! I'm back to it, later!

Yeah i totally agree, after i picked my copy up at midnight and got home to play it, i was blown away by how bada$$ this game looks and plays. The graphics to this game are the best i have every seen in a game. I have my ps3 hooked to to a 42' hdtv and i just cant stop just standing still while playing this game to just look around. It was totally worth the wait for this game. This game hands down will be game of the year. There will be nothing that comes out for the rest of the year that will touch GOW 3. Thats how damn good it is. Everyone should play this game.

Well darn. I have been buying (needs and wants) other stuff lately and decided I will not pick this up yet, but now it is tempting lol. I am not usually a BIG hack n slash fan, but GoW is so epic and fun, I love it.

Don't tempt me!!! I got FFXIII last week (hardly played it due to my obsession with getting platinum on DOA); DOA Awakening hits today along with this one.
And the RE5 dlc pack has got my interest as well....
This is just insane.

Now I really want this game!

Are you talking about UC2? I trust that is your opinion, and I do not own GoW III yet, but I don't see how it could be better then UC2. UC2 is near perfect. I am sure GoW III is amazing though.

Yeah its just incredable. I know i will not get bored with this game for a good while. It is totally worth the money. Like u said Thank u Sony Santa Monica. They deserve all the credit in the world for the work they put into this game.

I am 10 minutes away from playing this beauty!

Yes, I'm talking about UC2. And yes, GOW III is a few leagues beyond anything you saw in UC2... Like I said in the title, you really have no idea until you actually play it. The demo doesn't even prepare you for it... I'm really not trying to add to the hype... only wanting gamers to know that it's true. Back in Nov/Dec when I first played the demo... I was one of the gamers on these forums saying that cows were overhyping the gfx & that although they were nice, they weren't better than UC2. I was soooo f#@$ing wrong! :|... What I've seen so far today has only continued to amaze me the more I play.

I'll semi-agree about the combat being relatively mindless, but the visuals? Maybe the demo didn't showcase them quite as well as say, the Poseidon encounter footage, which is quite possibly the most awesome thing I've ever seen.

Take a look at the Digital Foundry footage from the Demo compared to the Review Code and you can see a pretty big difference in textures and AA.

I have another hour and a half until i get off work and i already picked up my preorder at lunchtime. I know what im about to get my mind blown but to what degree i dont know. I actually finished GoW2 from the collection last night as a refresher and i am hyper omega pumped to slap this into my PS3, play on my 46" and 5.1 DTS system.

I was going to wait until I finished FF13 to get GOW3 but I decided that I wanted to savor FF13 instead of rushing through. I went to gamestop to sacrifice MW2 and they gave me $40.13 as the trade in value. I paid $20.85 for GOW3 and got rid of MW2(not a horrible game but it has served it's purpose). All demos are like that. Dont ever choose whether or not to buy a game off of the demo alone.

Takes me a while to find out the boss tendancies because they hit so hard!

All of the enemies on that first level were just to 'warm-up':D... It gets even better!

Glad to see its getting good reviews I'll be going to pick my copy up next week. Hopefully I'll be done with Assassin's Creed 2 by then.

My roommate has it, I will just play his copy, it did look pretty fun when he was running up Gia. I have Dragon Age Awakening, the new RE5 Gold, FF XIII, and Assassins Creed 2 to even start. Too many games, not enough time.

:? Ummm... except it really does look better than UC2. It's cool that you like UC2; and if you think it's a better game, you're totally entitled to your opinion. But graphically there is not even anything to debate... if you had GOW III, you'd know that. So please, stop the ignorance...

I pretty much read this thread, watch the reviews and just went and bought it. Here's hoping it's as sick as everyone says it is
