Once and For All: SFXT Mega Man - Yay or Nay?

Let's settle this thing once and for all:

Do you like the look of Mega Man in the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken game?

Vote "Yes" if you like the character, "No" if you don't.

It's like Capcom is rubbing it in for Megaman fans. First, there is the exclusion of Megaman in MVC3. Then Megaman Legends 3 and Megaman Online gets canceled. Then Capcom trolls Megaman fans in UMVC3 when they excluded him yet again (only to become a DLC costume for Zero). Now they include this fatass boxart Megaman in SFxT. It's bad how they mistreat an icon in Capcom and gaming history.

just an insult to the entire mega man series, only thing worse would've been to include the old 80's cartoon version of mega man which most probally don't remember, capcom should be ashamed of themselfs...

I'd be able to if it were part of an overall 25th anniversary celebration, something like BBA MM for the ****c series, MMX9 for X (Zero's already in UMvC3), and Mega Man Legends 3, but when you only have BBA MM, it just seems like a poor attempt to throw a bone to the people who are upset about how they've treated the character, games, and fans. Yes, I know about Ono's Twitter post, but it doesn't change that there should be several games with Mega Man coming out, rather than a needlessly canceled MML3 or anything else they could have done. Do they seriously think that this alone will make up for everything? :| If this is all they've got, it just makes things worse.MAILER_DAEMON

Alright, fair enough. Guess I was looking at this decision as a sign that Capcom is acknowledging all that wrong they've been doing.
Seems like a small step in the right direction.

But I can see how someone could come to that conclusion.

And I'm betting MML3 will be back on track eventually.
Maybe they want to rebuild it for another platform (is my guess)? Hoping it ends up on a console eventually.

the way i see it..is fat mega man is better than no megaman..so yey..

I wouldn't have a problem with this Megaman if it were just bad box art Megaman.... (Though I don't care that much for the classic Megaman games in the first place, and even less for their bad box art incarnations.) A huge slap comes from the story background they gave him...

Source That's the kicker. They canceled Legends 3 then had the gall to use that game's Megaman incarnation's backstory. A bit of an insult to everyone who wanted Legends 3. (Like saying "We know you want Legends 3... But we're not going to do that so here have this extra character in a fighting game instead." And that hot on the heels of the big fuss over no X as a separate character or Megaman in UMvC3.)

Capcom can go **** itself. that incarnation of Mega Man is an insult to a lot of fans such as myself who supported the blue bomber throught these years.

They clearly abandon an icon that brought Capcom to the map, and this is how they treat their own property? First Dante, now this. I wouldn't be suprised if suddenly Capcom comes out with SF 5 and every one of those characters look different.

They were one of my most favorite gaming companies, but this is where they messed up completly. They are lucky that Resident Evil 6 looks great, if not I'm just another former fan who will no longer buy their games, SF X Tekken is off my wishlist.

I lol'd when I first saw it because box-art Mega Man looks so stupid and seeing him like this for the first time was hilarious.

Then I realized they were serious and Capcom kicked more mud in my eye. :(

i like it its a way of paying a tribute to the bad boxart megaman but you know Capcom did listen and put a Megaman in a fighting game but you never mention which megaman you wanted :p

hellz no. I used to think people were overreacting with the whole megaman thing but Capcom is most certainly trolling megaman fans now without a doubt.
