Online problems with Call of Duty 3

Currently, i am having online problems with call of duty 3.

So i turn on my ps3, and it loads the game, intro scenes etc etc... and then i get the main menu. i go to multiplayer and select it. It loads and then starts connecting to the netowrk. Thats the problem. Eventually, it says "could not connect online", or something like that. I would really appreciate help, as this is the only game i play online, and i can't get other ps3 games yet due to personal reasons. Thank you!

 Note: i can still play single player. Multiplayer is where i have problems. 

can you get online any other time? I ask because you might not of made it so you can get online yet.triplebogey2004

It happened to me this morning too, it stated that fail to authenticate, but i was able to connect to the store and to log into the psn. i haven't try again.

i have a bit of trouble with that too, and my mate barley gets into any games. pretty sure cod3 server is dodgery.

 with connecting to other player issues that is.

I too have the same problem..just got the PS3 in March of 2007, and COD3 same day. I cant join games it says "Could not connect to host or all players"..this occurs when i try to join a game with more than 2 people playing in that game..whats the problem? thx any help appreciatedtonypiglet

I'm pretty sure its set up to not allow you to enter into a room with varying connections which would create lag.  Just try a different game.
