I've clocked over 20hrs of game time in MHF2 .. and completed till the last 3 quest in MHF 1 ...
Its a great game, lots of stuff to do, lots of items to buy, lots of equiptment to optimise. The dept is there.
But the missions are tough, so you may want to rent it, or maybe even buy mhf1, which should be at a cheaper price..
But the best part would be the multiplayer ... team up with 3 of your friends to rape some monsters, can't get that on any other game...
Well, if you don't like the first one... Chances are you aren't going to like the second one, unless you didn't give enough time into MHF2. Like the above said, MHF is just a love it, hate it game. Well, Im one of the ones that love it. The sheer amount of different monsters, weapons, and armor you can fight/build is a upgrade maniac like me's dream.
Give it a try if you didn't like MHF1 just because it was too hard or something. But if you spent a fair amount of time with it before you decided you hate it, its probably not going to do anything more to make you like it.
This game is pretty cool, although, you have to keep an open mind on what to expect from this game.
Saying you didn't liked this game from the first couple of hours of game-play is like saying you didn't enjoyed a game like Gears of War because you didn't chainsawed anybody in the first 5 minutes of the game.
Just give it time, and you'll start to enjoy it.
THE NEXT TIME YOU THINK YOUR PERFECT, TRY WALKING ON WATER
My opinion:
You can't play this game for a few hours and say i don't like it. Lets face it the beginning is boring. The game only truly gets good when you start fighting things considerably bigger than you are. No the Kut-ku doesn't count. You also have to find a weapon your comfortable with. I like big swords, so i use GS and LS. I use the bow when playing with friends some times just to mix it up.
Plain and simple this is a strategy game, and depending on how you play, will effect the strategy you have to develop. I don't believe you can do that in a few hours. I played MH on PS2 (offline only), got auroros ten in MHF1, and am in the middle of the 5 star in MHF2, and i still get my ass handed to me on occasion.
