PES 2011 or FIFA 11?

Which one are you getting/do you prefer?

I personally prefer PES this year. The man marking and ball possession in FIFA was absolutely screwed wih the 360 fight for possession, IMO. Just hold X and square, and the ball is yours. Seriously.

And PES's shooting mechanic was dumbed down... A lot. However, the overall gameplay and presentation were unbelievably brought up like 50 notches, looking like a AAA title now. PES, this year, is really winning over critics (9.0 on IGN, while FIFA 11 got 8.5). It was really engineered for freedom. But FIFA's tagline is way better: We Are 11. That's just cool :)

fifa is easily better than pes, fifa 11 is lightyears ahead of pes in all areas.. the only good thing about pes is the menu

i agree they did the menus good. since fifa 09 iv moved on from pro evo

FIFA should win hands down though I'll be purchasing PES. Got FIFA 10 and while there are slight improvements in 11, I'd rather a 'different' game for my $. Who am I kidding? I'll probably end up with both.

i have been with the FIFA franchise for a decade now, and i love the massive improvements over the recent years. 11's demo also impressed me so it's a no brainer.

the real competition for me is between FIFA 11 and NBA 2k11. i'm still considering...

yea that's me - though it's more about getting my money's worth rather than platform comparison - and this definitely doesn't bode well. i will look into it. thanks for the heads up.

Regardless if PES maybe the better game before or now, PES doesn't have a rich as a roster as FIFA, and that is extremely necessary.

I could have said FIFA all the way but i think the fight is closer this year.I played both Demo's extensively trying little things n watching video replays,check all their details and weather etc etc etc.From what i have seen i think i would give PES11 a try this year simply because it looks totally different from the demo i tried last year

PES is a horrible game. FIFA is way ahead of Konami now, they should just stop.

I played both demos and bought FIFA 11. FIFA is simply more fun. A minute to learn and a lifetime to master.
