After what's happening, Sony should give every PSn user a free gift. Serously, how can their servers be weak enough for hackers to get access to people's personal info?

Now its scary serious. Our info and probably even acount info is free to hackers, at this point sony owes us something big and even then i will never trust them with any of my info again.

I'm pretty sure every single online service can be hacked, it's just before no one tried. LIVE. PSN, Steam can most likely all be hacked by actual hackers. There's always someone who can do it.

No. You should NOT get free stuff because someone is trying to improve their service for you.

You're already getting something. Its called an improved service.

Besides, you're not paying for PSN so they don't owe you anything.

They are locking the stable door after the horse has already bolted, IF Sony had have beefed up their security before now, then the hackers may have had a much tougher challenge getting into the network, and, in all pribability, would have been delayed, maybe even unable to access as much data as they did. This retrograde enforcement of security has come to late, and all this extra stuff they are offering is to sweeten a deal that, by all rights, should have been long since resolved (in the enhancement of security).

The difference is that Microsoft and VALVe probably don't store their users' information as plain text, and don't use XML files to store credit card data. This is a MAJOR security breach and I think Sony needs to give everyone who was registered to PSN a gift. I think I deserve it now that some hacker somewhere knows my full name, my address, my phone number, and an undisclosed amount of other personal data about me. I'm just happy I'm not one of the people who trusted Sony with my credit card number.

I sure would love a free copy of Socom 4 but I highly doubt Sony would do that. They would give everyone maybe $10 PS Store credit or a coupon tops.
