LinkYea GDC is more focused on the actual devlopment of games than the games themselves. Its all about the theory of them, how to make them better, and discussing them with fellow developers. Even though I am not working for money yet in the video game industry I still go to GDC every year because the information there is more valuable to me than E3 ever was.
If you read the last paragraph, it says that Phil will give some insight on the development of future services.
It sounds like this home function on the ps3. There doesn't seem to be any event that Sony could use to announce any new demos (like lair or killzone 2) though.

LinkUm it's directed at developers, not us. Why would EA, Ubisoft, THQ, Square and so on care about demos? If you want news about games then there's also a speech about Sony's code library where they will use Sony published titles as examples.

[QUOTE="Aterfire"] LinkUm it's directed at developers, not us. Why would EA, Ubisoft, THQ, Square and so on care about demos? If you want news about games then there's also a speech about Sony's code library where they will use Sony published titles as examples. With the absence of E3, I think GDC is picking up some of the slack. I think there will be more non-Developer stuff this year.
