If you read the last paragraph, it says that Phil will give some insight on the development of future services.
It sounds like this home function on the ps3. There doesn't seem to be any event that Sony could use to announce any new demos (like lair or killzone 2) though.

Yea GDC is more focused on the actual devlopment of games than the games themselves. Its all about the theory of them, how to make them better, and discussing them with fellow developers. Even though I am not working for money yet in the video game industry I still go to GDC every year because the information there is more valuable to me than E3 ever was.

The registration is closed right now so you can do on-site registration its at the Moscone Center in San Francisco this year instead of in downtown San Jose (bummer now I got a long drive instead of a really short one : \ )

I incorporated myself so I am kinda my own video game company ^_^ i just do not really make any profit right now till i get out of college. But thats how they let me into E3 and GDC and all those events that are not open to the public.

If you just want to see the exhibits you can pay 195.00 on-site and get a pass. Also a few years they do student prices (like 75 bucks) for exhibits only.

"Sony Computer Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios will demonstrate some exclusive insight into its development of products and services"

I dunno what you're talking about...Looks like they'll be talking about games too.

Um it's directed at developers, not us. Why would EA, Ubisoft, THQ, Square and so on care about demos? If you want news about games then there's also a speech about Sony's code library where they will use Sony published titles as examples.

Actually if Sony repeats what they did last year they will hold a Playstation Business press conference around the second week of march on the 15th or so.... So if nothing too great is at GDC they may actually be holding off stuff for public release the week after.

With the absence of E3, I think GDC is picking up some of the slack. I think there will be more non-Developer stuff this year.
