Picked Up Valkyria Chronicles...

..at work, £19.99 new with discount, got it for £10.

had it a week and havent played it yet! i really should, anyway i see a LOT of people who seem to be big fans of the game, almost trying to promote it but i heard that they stopped making it? i know theres DLC coming out but it only sold around 33,000 copies or something.

anyway...just your thoughts :)

I bought Valkyria Chronicles about week ago and I'm enjoing it! Great story, graphic style, it has original voice actors and gameplay is well done! You can't go wrong with valkyria! :)

None of the Gamestop stores around where I live in New Jersey have the game in stock any more. It looks like the $29.99 price point really did a good job driving sales.

I've played the first 3 missions and so far I like the game very much. It is very unique and is a valued addition to my collection.

Its is great game it does not conain a very original plot but the game mechanisn justifies it price tag lol is great game

I'm at chapter 9 on Valkyria and so far I've been mixed about the game, it has a great & detailed story, good looks, but some of the game missions just seem too linear, basically you would need to do a specific routine to get the job done and so far the difficulty is all over the place, like all of a sudden the fight with the Batymos(?) was really difficult & long, until you learn the right steps, I'm going to play it all the way mainly because it has a great story.

I've been thinking about getting VC but I'm not 100% sure about buying it.I'm not a big fan of the art style and I watched a gameplay video on youtube and it looked boring.

I actually beat it on my first try. I have no idea how, but I did it. It took me 19 turns :lol::lol: but the behemoth tank wasn't moving until I realized my tank was in the way... it moved as soon as I moved my tank. I had figured out what to do in terms of taking it down before they even told me, but of course I spent wasted a couple turns trying to do it until I realized I couldn't yet. It was certainly one of the more "epic" missions in the game. For me at least.

I just picked the game up myself. It was in the game day half off sale bin at my local Gamestop. I must say that I'm loving it so far. The game mechanics are so refreshing.

On the advice of a forum topic I asked, it sounded super cool and badass so I got it.

I was not dissapointed and I don't usually play RTS that much.

I wouldn't really call it an RTS. More like a TBS, with real time elements.

Congrats VC is definitly one of the best games this gen. NOW HURRY UP AND PLAY IT!

But wait, if your on the way, the Batymos will use his giant front cannon and blow you up, I believe it's an instant death, how on earth you managed to beat it on the 1st try, without trial and error, specially when Silvaria(?) comes to help...

I honestly have no idea. I don't really remember the specifics of the battle. Something was in the way, and I think it was my tank. The radiator obviously wasn't facing the tank otherwise it would have instant killed me. I think I had my tank in front and then an engineer right behind the tank to heal it everytime it took damage. I just kept healing my tank and waited for the big tank to move before I realized perhaps I should move my tank. Perhaps it was too close to the tank to avoid the front cannon? I really wish I could remember the exact details. As for Selvaria, my people were just positioned well when she came. I remember hitting her with mortars for some reason. She killed a couple of my people, but I always had one lancer to do damage to the behemoth tank.

I'm telling you, I beat it on the first try. It took me 19 turns, so obviously it was luck. D-rank for the win!

i didn't like the demo. :( its a shame because the gamestops around here have allot of copy's. or had allot.

i brought as soon as i could because i lnow it won't stay there for long, and it's my favorite ps3 game so far
