Can a PS3 play HD DVD's
why would you want to watch hd-dvd.IppotheFighter Because unfortunately we have format specific high def movies now?

No it only plays Blu-Ray and DVD. But it also does agreat job of upscaleing those DVD's to near HD quality (note I said near HD quality).
