Playing through Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood story mode for the first time...

and as much as I love the multiplayer.. story mode is just a little too boring and way too linear for me. Were there any PS3 games you guys've played where the single player was just underwhelming?

I've yet to get bored with multiplayer, especially since PSN's been down, but I probably will get really tired of it a month down the line. The game is beautiful, and well written... but it also seems recycled to me. And as I said before.. the linear narrative is just TOO linear for me.

I loved it, but AC titles are amongst my favorite...get a little further into the story, its gets better...there are some missions that are incredibly fun and long, the war machine missions were great as well, cristina missions were really good too.

I definitely intend to play it through at least once. I was just kinda worried about it ... the first few missions are boring me to tears lol.

It's a strictly fashioned linear story line. There's really not much to do at all except for the story missions. But I did only do the first few sessions so far, so maybe it'll change later on. I really wouldn't call it open-world right now, though... from the first bit I've played, at least.

I enjoyed ACBrotherhood quite a bit, but still felt AC2 was better. I also havent got to try MP out yet due to the PSN being shutdown. Will give a try when PSN is back up. I would still recommend ACBrotherhood to anyone who hasnt played it.

Don't worry about it, the first bit is very boring but it does open up the more you progress, you might even be a bit overwhelmed with the amount you can and will do once they get introduced, the map will be a clusterfk.

I enjoy clusterfks.

The game will also get very intresting with Assassins :P But dont be like me and send them on their 1st time to face a horde of guards and get them killed :P

How on earth is an open world game linear? :?
