Hi Guys,

My TV only had DVI connection, so I need a HDMI to DVI connection,

Which type is it?

I've seen many, HDMI to DVI Male and Female? - This is very confusing.

Can someone help, thanks.

HDMI to DVI Male/Male. there is also dual-link and single link: this is single link: http://img.hexus.net/v2/guides/dvi/dvi-single.jpg and this is dual link: http://www.cyberresearch.com/images/products/1123459809.600.jpg single or dual link doesn't matter. dual link is capable of higher resolutions, but single link is capable of up to 1920x1200, so it will suffice for the ps3.

I'm assuming this cable would be the best? As its HDMI TO DVI MALE DUAL LINK!

single link will be ok too, so if its cheaper, go for single link. if its the same price, then you might as well get a dual link.

Yeah, price isnt an issue. Dual Link will obviously deliver better graphics, wouldnt it?

I'm not sure it does in this case, but potentially, yes it could.

like i said, no it doesn't. the only difference between single and dual link, is dual link is capable of higher resolutions. but again, the highest possible resolution the ps3 can output, is 1920x1080p and a single link cable is capable of 1920x1200. so dual link is capable of more bandwidth, but the ps3 can only deliver so much bandwidth that a single link would suffice. if the dual link is only slightly more (couple of bucks or less) then go for it.

i don't think monoprice ships overseas and i'm guessing the OP is from the UK (hence his link). the quality of a digital cable doesn't really matter.
