Oh thats not it at all. I didnt mean to come from a stand point whether I should spend the money i have more than enough. I just wanted to make sure it was a good decision and needed a little persuasion. It really sealed the deal once I realized that versus is exclusive and ive thought myself that blu ray burners are a waste of money at this point until say a year from now.If you need us to convince you into getting a PS3, you're probably not sure if you want a PS3 and ready to buy a PS3 in the first place.
He's right. I misunderstood thinking it was a financial decision. Let us know what the reason you need to be convinced is. Is it the games, hardware/quality, online, features...etc? What is it that you need the convincing on? My opinion is that the PS3 is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I get more entertainment out of it than any PC I have ever had or any other console, with the exception of my first NES in 1988. It is packed full of useable features, is very reliable, and is built with strong regard to quality. The game library has actually taken off with many excellent exclusives and multiplatforms. The online is free and has finally matured to the point that it can be directly compared to Live. It is a very sexy peice of technology to have in your media center or living room. I can go on and on....If money is no object, buy the thing and enjoy it. If you don't like it, sell it , simple as that.
But if you do buy it, SUPPORT IT !!! Keep in mind that having a PS3 can get very expensive. I have spent over $2000 on just games and movies for the system.
I cannot say how much is makes me angry to hear people that buy the PS3 then complain about how boring it is, only to find out that they do not buy games or Blu Ray movies. You don't have to buy every game that comes out. But if you want to enjoy the system, you will have to drop some cash on it now and again.
