I'm always hearing that psn isn't up to par with xbox live. I'm just wondering what exactly makes it so inferior to xbox live?

Obviously, downloadable content, online gaming is fine.

my only complaint is getting randomly disconnected from the PSN since update 1.80 came out it s pretty annoying, i know its not my router coz the ps3 internet browser still works when that happens... anyone else got that problem?

It has pretty much everything that Xbox Live has except for accessible XMB/Dashboard while playing games and that is pretty important.
