Hi, I live in Cyprus (Europe) and when i press Playstation store it says PLEASE WAIT and then an error appears saying that at present,Playstation store is not available in the selected country. WHY is that?

You could try creating a US PSN and download from that shop instead.
sucks tobe you, works for me... On the store thing, any1 else in a euro country noticed we dont seem to have those PS1 games for PSP? guess i'm gonna have to make a US account for those...

Cyprus is not one of the supported euro store countries, sorry. Try setting up and account for another euro country, or use US if you want. You can use the store of any country you want.
Still we are waiting for the PS STORE in our country......... we play all the games which we bought for the PS3 the ultimate machine, which it is and we love and bought the first day it was lounched in 2007. Unfortunately for Sony it destroyed the product since we have no support at all. Everyday you se on news how sony is loosing money from selling the PS3, how the XBOX360 isseling more than the PS3 in Japan, the sony stock and shareholders loosing money and they still dont listen. Even the most simple thing to add all the other European countries to the playstation store. We are using the same currency (the EURO) in case Sony doesnt know, for instance the Greek shop or french one are using the Euro so the same can be applied and start the Cyprus or Maltese shop. The best part you will see on forums is the Entropay visa, which many users made and used on the Playstation store, and then Sony stopped accepting the Entropay cards. Users were paying more on debt and charges to make new cards, which Sony benefited, and then just like that stopped accepting all the profits Personally i beleive Sony should sell the Playstation right to another company like Microsoft or maybe Apple cause it seems that is too much for them Please read all the forums and start support for your users and people who love the PS as you are destroying what was build over the years. Thank you hope this time you listen and take into consideration myself and all the other users who wright their comments and feedback to this forum and to other blogs, because the way it seems bit by bit Sony will convince me to buy the Xbox and move to other brands
PlayStation Store really is the worst merchant service in the world, as it seems we beg them to buy content from them and all they do is ignore us and making it more difficult to buy stuff, they even stop alternative ways of purchasing like Entropay and Paypal

So apparantly maintence starts in 5 minutes and i'mm downloading about 100 patches for Burnout Paradise cauuse I just got it and iit's taking ages. Hopefully it'lll keep my signed in to finish this download. I was going to download a game off psn too. Shame eh.
