You don't need another psp to do a magic memory stick. I used pandora's box, which is a PC application. But if your PSP is bricked, then you will need a card reader. As for the battery, get a Pandora one off eBay, or buy Datel's TOOL Battery (which I bought myself). Just insert the memory stick (after you modified it with Pandora's box) and the Pandora Battery. A menu will appear. Just press X, and installation will begin. You will be on version 1.50. From there you can update to any version you want. The newest one is 3.73.

Thx, but I already know what to do with the battery, open it and solder the inside of it and put it back together, which I know how to do, as for the memory card, I think I know what to do, but what exactly do I have to do with the memory carD?
Search on google for Pandora's Box. Once you find it, download it. Since your psp doesn't work, you can't use the usb mode, right? You will have to use a memory-stick reader, or a camera. The Program will ask you which drive letter is the memory-stick (E, F, G, etc.). It has 4 steps. On one it will tell you to shut off the psp. Just ignore that one and continue.
And be careful what you do with the battery. If you screw up you can say goodbye to it. And even if you succeed you will need another battery, as the one you soldered can't be used normally.
For a Pandora's Battery you do not open the battery to modify it. All you need is a specially modified files to flash you battery. This is the safest way to unbrick your PSP and you also need a specially modded stick. All this you can get of eBay but I must warn you that selling the modded stick is illegal.

Yeah, unbricking your PSP is only going to happen for free with Pandora's Battery. That's the good thing about it. I just wouldn't want to actually solder my battery :). Apparantly there are ways which allow you to use your battery normally after, but those, of course, require a 1.5 or custom firmware, which we are not allowed to talk about on this site. It's too bad you lost power during your update... Maybe you should consider taking the oppertunity to check up on different firmwares. Oh, and remember, you can't use your current battery for when your PSP is unbricked (unless you fix what you did, apparantly), so you have to either power up using the power cable or get a new battery.
my other battery is broken, and is in the garbage, and whenever I update it it says system error scffffffffffffffffffffff7 or something like that. And my psp is powering off my ac adapter. So should I buy a new battery.
psps can't go on the internet at ver 1.5, I think you should buy a new battery if you can't update, if that doesn't work just try to make the new battery into a pandora (not by soldering, but by doing it with the apps. They will be able to run now that your on 1.5). btw good job on fixing the brick. :)
The reason why you can't update I'm guessing is because Sony won't let you back in official firmware due to security features when you downgrade to 1.5. If thats the case, try updating to custom firmware, I recommend M33 firmware.
