Please talk me out of trading in my PS3.

Guys, I am really getting frustrated right now. About 3 months ago I traded in my 360 for a PS3. Now Im kinda getting frustrated and thinking I made a bad decision. I love the PS3 as a media player and the quality is great in my opinion.

I just see all these great games coming out for the 360. I see the multi plats like Army of Two and COD4 coming out and am really wishing I had my 360 due to the fact that the multiplats have a better frame rate etc... So Im considering dropping the PS3 for an Elite.

Am I just being an idiot or thinking logically? Need some help.

Its entirely up to you. All ill sy is if you trade it in, you wont get ratchet & clank, MGS4, Uncharted, Haze, and you'll get UT3 a lot later and without the PC crossover support the PS3 will have.

The xbox 360 has little going for it but shooters at the moment, so iif you want a bit of variety i'd say hold off for a while.

but at the same time you are being very short sighted.

Consoles usually don't get great games until end of a system life. Trying to make your decision based on beginning of system life is what gets people into poor consoles.

if you want to trade it in, then trade it in. its a simple solution. thats why i work hard and have both systems.

But seriously trade in if you want to, I won't hate you. Microsoft is fighting a good battle at the moment. If it were up to me though, I'd get both.

It wouldn't make much sense to bail on the PS3 just as it's primed to make a push. Seriously, you traded in your 360 for a PS3, now the games are going to start pouring in, but you want to dump it? That makes no sense. Granted, most multiplats are better on the 360, but that could change. Call of Duty 4 is supposed to be every bit as good on the PS3 as on the 360.

If you can only afford to buy/support one system, then you need to do some serious research on what system offers what you want. If you can afford both, I highly recommend getting both because some games will be better on the 360 and some will be better on the PS3, so it really comes down to the exclusives. You jumping around from system to system assures nothing other then you will waste a ton of money in the long run.

Another big thing for me is I always play the GTA series when the new one comes out. It makes it very hard because Im a die hard GT fan as well. I just wonder if the GTA series is going to be much better since MS practically bought out R* or will Blu Ray and bigger HDD allow the PS3 to have some really unique add ons? This is hard as hell. **** I may just hold off a while longer and buy a 360 Premium when they come out with HDMI for it. No real reason to get an elite if the only difference is a HDD.

If it weren't for reliability, I'd tell you to go for it.

Imagine yourself in a yearlong struggle with customer support. That doesn't sound like fun. I'd wait it out.

i have both system too and i wouldn't trade-in either one for the other, but if i absolutely had to keep only one it would definately be the xbox 360...waayy too games avail. and still coming!!!

but what i do like better about the ps3 is how it upconverts my standard dvd's...it's 1.3 hdmi port makes colors look GREAT on my plasma hdtv!!!

Yeah I may get both. I was bored of my 360 thats why I just traded it in. Kinda screwed myself cause I had the HD DVD add on and 30 games. I just wanted the PS3 that day, but I was able to get the PS3 60gb, media remote, and a game with no money down.

I can afford both systems, but the key is talking to the girlfriend. We have been talking about marriage so justifying buying a 360 along with my hobby of working on cars would be tough.

Dont worry, good multi plats are done well on PS3, like skate, textures are better, but I dont know about frame rates. Also framerate issues arnt that bad. Aslo, COD4 will be the excact same as the 360 version.

Plus There is no where else you can get MGS

seriously dude as much as i want to see the ps3 be number one and us much as i despise the 360 fanboys, right now the logical choice would be to get a 360, but you gotta think long term here, the 360 has the games right now, but the ps3 has those games coming out next year that could be something special, killzone 2 anyone? overall the ps3 will end up with a better game library, but for the moment atleast the 360 is the logical choice, thats just my input though, its completely up to youlinkin_guy109

MGS4, Killzone 2, GT5, andguess what, FFXIII is not going to the 360. And for those other games that'll also be on the 360, we have a better controller.

I personaly like to get each console just so I can play the games that Exclusive to them and play the better Multiplat games on the corresponding syestem. Its a expensive Mindset, but my mind set all the same.

Killzone 2 and MGS 4. Enough Said.

So did Dreamcast and Saturn.

PS 1 and PS2 started very slow with games like battle arena toshiden being one of the best game for PS1.

If you look far ahead, PS3 does have solid line up coming out in future.

Which game would have better selection of games by the end of their console life?

I'd save up and just buy an Elite, but you are correct, atm the Elite is a far better machine.

If you wanna trade it in, go ahead. Somebody who wants a PS3 and can't afford one at full price can get yours. I personally have found way better games for it than for 360, but to each his own.

alright...enough bull crap....we all know Xbox360 has the better lineup....PS3 wont be getting the goods till next year.
