I would pay anything less than $30. Why you ask?

I'll just use my mom's credit card.

it a virtual world why would u pay for a not real house?? who cares r u tryin 2 impress someone they can buy it for 5 bucks 2 but they didnt bec they realize how stupid it is P.S. HOME is great but i woulndt buy add on contentmowin90
I'm with you, seeing as I am about to spend money on a real house. That being said... I was reading somewhere that some guy actually makes $175K (US) a year in REAL money selling virtual real estate in Second Life. Now that is f-in crazy. I guess the sim has something like $4 in annual revenue right now. Also, they say that the average user is 32.

That's cause logic in modern society has just been tossed out the window. It's just the new, cool flashy thing that these mindless fools will flock to and fork over any price mentioned. But they don't understand that IT'S NOT REAL. Also the fact that it could all disappear by one bad server crash that could happen at any given time. Also, NONE of these people that pay for this joke ever realisticly benefit at all from this in real life. Not like extra game content (not stuff that SHOULD be in the game already) where you can actually use, and expand your entertainment. But paying for a virtual hat, or a chair, or some windows for your virtual house? Come on...

I agree with one of the other posters.... so long as it's a one time payment, I'd pay up to $20 for a luxury property as long as it had that outdoor balcony.

Is this Sony's way of "charging" for their online service? I mean, what else would we have to pay for besides the "home" our virtual sims live in? The possibilities are endless. I think it's going to be exciting, but I want to hear more about how much this service will cost--hidden fees and such.feryl06
There are no hidden fees. You could use the service the entire time without upgrading your avatar or his/her home if you want to. But there will be plenty people that do invest in homes, premium furniture, & premium clothing... it's an excellent business model actually. Users can enjoy as little or as much of it as they want while the service will still receive support from the users that DO enjoy MMO & Second Life type apps.

From what they showed in the demo, the upgrades you would get in your luxury apt would be like having a private pool table etc. for all of your friends, and a lot more room to have people over. It isnt a hidden fee and it isnt mandatory. It is for people that after a big match would like to invite their friends over to their apt and pla a nice game of pool or bowling(if they ad that in luxury ones as well) in a private setting. Its a neat idea id probly pay from 1-10 bucks fo it

Can you have sex in HOME?
-JNorman-
Well you can do it in The Sims and seeing as PSHome takes some influences from it I would say yeah... we can have virtual sex while in the apartments. They might even call it WooHoo like in the Sims. Probably with Sexy Beach 3 controller interface for the sex portions.

I would pay around $10-$15 for a decent size apartment... If it was an annual payment, maybe $5-$10 or something.

Since SONY are losing $150 for every PS3 they sell, i dont resent them charging for 'superior' stuff... At the end of the day, it seperates the wheat from the chaff... Which is why you have some people live in the projects (USA) or on Council Estates (UK) while others live in nice detatched houses with private pools in the suburbs.. I think the whole point of "Home" is to allow people to express themselves, just like the ability to modify your avatar, clothes etc, having a 'nice' place to hang out with enough wall space to have all your photos hanging will be right up the same peoples street...

Not to mention... if there are any female gamers out there, you think i wanna bring them back to a dump and tell her she has to sit on a deck chair coz the settie / sofa was re-posessed?

I think not...

Cheers

Andy
