I would pay anything less than $30. Why you ask?
I'll just use my mom's credit card.

I was reading somewhere that some guy actually makes $175K (US) a year in REAL money selling virtual real estate in Second Life. Now that is f-in crazy. I guess the sim has something like $4 in annual revenue right now. Also, they say that the average user is 32.

Is this Sony's way of "charging" for their online service? I mean, what else would we have to pay for besides the "home" our virtual sims live in? The possibilities are endless. I think it's going to be exciting, but I want to hear more about how much this service will cost--hidden fees and such.feryl06There are no hidden fees. You could use the service the entire time without upgrading your avatar or his/her home if you want to. But there will be plenty people that do invest in homes, premium furniture, & premium clothing... it's an excellent business model actually. Users can enjoy as little or as much of it as they want while the service will still receive support from the users that DO enjoy MMO & Second Life type apps.
i think your achievements throughtout various games should dictate how cool your apartment isTheJihadJoeWell games you buy dictate too
Can you have sex in HOME?Well you can do it in The Sims and seeing as PSHome takes some influences from it I would say yeah... we can have virtual sex while in the apartments. They might even call it WooHoo like in the Sims. Probably with Sexy Beach 3 controller interface for the sex portions.

lmfao.
I would pay around $10-$15 for a decent size apartment... If it was an annual payment, maybe $5-$10 or something.
Since SONY are losing $150 for every PS3 they sell, i dont resent them charging for 'superior' stuff... At the end of the day, it seperates the wheat from the chaff... Which is why you have some people live in the projects (USA) or on Council Estates (UK) while others live in nice detatched houses with private pools in the suburbs.. I think the whole point of "Home" is to allow people to express themselves, just like the ability to modify your avatar, clothes etc, having a 'nice' place to hang out with enough wall space to have all your photos hanging will be right up the same peoples street...
Not to mention... if there are any female gamers out there, you think i wanna bring them back to a dump and tell her she has to sit on a deck chair coz the settie / sofa was re-posessed?
I think not...
Cheers
Andy
