portable hard drive question

I'm thinking of getting a portable hard drive for my PS3 cause it's going to run out of space sometime. and I wanted to know if you could save the game utility data on the portable hard drive, cause that takes up the most space.

just get a 320 or500gb hard drive that willcure all your troubles

No, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way. Like the other guy said, it's time for you to upgrade.

Game save data can only be stored on your ps3 hdd, only media can be stored externally (movies, music, etc). Id suggest upgrading your internal drive to a 500gb, then getting a case for the drive you replace and use it as an external. Thats what I did and i am very pleased.
