On Black Friday of this year I was able to get the PS4 Slim and a $50 Gamestop gift card for $199 effectively making the PS4 Slim around $150. However, I have until Monday to return it. I will soon be buying a 4k TV and I heard that the Pro was the way to go when it comes to the Playstation system. I already have a rather nice gaming PC that has some 4k capabilities. My question is whether or not the PS4 Pro is worth the extra $250. Thanks.

If you have the TV for it/PSVR, Pro makes a big enough difference that it was well worth it for me. It's what makes owning a high end television worth while. Otherwise, don't bother with the TV purchase either and just stick to slim & 1080p TV.

Hell no, if it was $50-$100 more, then yeah its good, but $250, no-way.

If you can afford it, get it.

If you living paycheck to paycheck, then just get the regular PS4.

Too small of a difference for me. If they went the Xbox One X route then maybe.

Not worth it imo. Lended a PS4 from a friend first than bought the Pro for myself. Almost no differene. (Also playing on 4k tv) It does make some difference in VR if you're buying that.

For 4K, definitely. On regular HD telly, regular PS4 pic looks excellent. But when you watch it on huge 4K telly, you start seeing that the regular picture quality isn't that great. There the boosted Pro graphics really come on their own.

I don't have 4K telly, as it happens, but when I get one, I'll be getting Pro as well.

If you don't have a 4k TV nor a Pro, how do you know that it looks so great?

No.

1. You can play every game on base

2. Pro takes up more space. Big bulky

3. Uses more power
