I don't like that combination too much. I've always thought either Nathan Fillion or Brendan Fraser would make great Nathan Drake's. How does everyone else feel about Jackman taking on the role?

I've never seen him in a role that resembles Nate's personality, so I'm withholding my opinion until I see it.Posting this in every Uncharted movie thread:
Pick up Carlos Bernard (Tony Almeida from 24).
I personally would prefer Nate's voice actor (I need to remember his name) ... kitty got wet! His kid is genius. :D[QUOTE="lonewolf604"][QUOTE="raven_squad"]Brendan Frasier? Oh man, if there was one way to make Nathan Drake even more annoying, you've discovered it. GrandJuryyeah, the mummy movies suckedThe first two were good movies. The tomb of the dragon something was not. first two were decent, didn't like his acting, but yeah, the third one sucked the most
he doesn't fit. please get rid of him. he'd be better off as a secondary character for an Uncharted movie.
Nolan North (Drakes voice actor) looks like Drake was actually modelled after him, just grittier.
In an older thread of the same subject, someone mentioned Colin Ferrel. And though he is still a pretty poor actor, he's better then most of the riff raff I've heard tossed around for the part. And he definitely can look the role.Dude, he'd be perfect for Flinn!raven_squad
heck yeah carlos bernards awesome hed be great in it. finidng the perfect nathan drake isn't hard its obvious that he was somewhat modeled after Nathan Fillion. for me it Nathan Fillion or David Boreanaz., both would do a great Drake. now the really question is who would they get to play SullyPosting this in every Uncharted movie thread:

LOL, you're right he does look like Harry Flynn. But they will make Drake's Fortune, I think. Now they need to clone the actor who made Golum for those creepy naked guys. According to Nate's journal. Oh and Nate's voice actor is Nolan North. :)
Sigh...Grand another video game movie. Isn't Uncharted 2 enough like a movie? I for one would rather play the adventure then just sit there and see it.GrandJuryamen to that this game is one of the most movie like games i have ever played. a live action version of it would be pathetic
ive never really seen him in an action adventure type movie, but i think paul rudd would make a good drake.
What's the point? The game is going to be better than any movie ever could hope to be. Haha so pointless.JKnaperekit could be decent. it would probably end up being similar to national treasure, which i liked. i just hope its not TOO much similar.

Off the top of my head, Ryan Reynolds would be the perfect "big star" pick to play Drake that I think could do a good job. He definitely has comedic timing and personality and I think he could do Drake justice. Jackman, while a good actor, just doesn't seem to fit. Obviously, I'd love to see Nolan North do it, but we all know that's just not how Hollywood works. Still though, I think Reynolds looks closer and could do it well, even though Nolan North (jokingly) said that he couldn't have the role.:P
reynolds is working on green lantern now, and then x-men origins: deadpool, so uncharted 2 would have to be a loooong way down the pipeline for ryan reynoldsMethodManFTW
Ehh, I didn't know what he's been up to movie-wise. Still, Nathan Fillion would be another obvious choice (to me at least), though I know he's not big enough in Hollywood to get the part.
Nathan Fillion or Nolan North. Heck, I think it'd be cool if they did the whole movie with the voice actors all hollywood gussied up. Each one of the voice actors looks and sounds like their in game counterparts. Some make up to tweak the looks and viola, a true to life Uncharted live action movie.emitsu97
True. The problem is it wouldn't sell in Hollywood. Me personally? I'd love to see it with all the VAs. Between the mo-cap and other roles they've done in real life they can obviously act.

That is what I hope for as well. Thats really the only way to do real justice to the game. However, like someone mentioned they will probably try to do something as to what was done in Tomb Raider so I guess if the actor was popular enough the movie could turn out alright.

If they want to sell it to Hollywood then rename it and leave the Uncharted characters out of it. I really enjoyed Romancing the Stone, all the Indiana Jone's, and Fool's Gold as it had that Uncharted feel without messing up Uncharted. If they're going to bring the characters of Drake and cast in they should stay true to the material and do justice to the franchise and it's fans.Heck if they want they could bring Jackman, Jolie, Cruise, and Bale in...just make them all the bad guys.

My only hope is that if they're gonna do this, they don't sully the good name that the games have already established. I'd hate to see a terrible movie adaptation scare away potential interest in the games for newcomers. It'd also be bad to see people not in the know look at the games and be like, "Oh those are those games based off of that crappy movie with so and so in it," even though the games came first (you know someone, somewhere is gonna do it).
I too enjoyed the Indiana Jones movies and films like The Goonies and whatnot. I just really hope that Amy Hennig has some sort of input on this to stop the movie from potentially sucking.
