it dosent take much more than half a brain to realize Sony didn't copy Nintendo's controller. The people who continue to beleive it are simply rabid fanboys with a lack of acceptance for reality.

"proof them wrong" gives you credibility. And... do people still care?

of course it didn't come from nintendo. what is in the ps3 controller is the result of sony attempts to get it in the psp. (please don't ask for link, trust me) Sony stated a while ago, when faced with complaints of copying the nintendo, that the system at the time was too big to fit in the psp, and not advanced enough...however continued developement resulted in what we see now in the Sixaxis (and perhaps it actually going into a psp like it was ment to in the psp2???)

anybody who plays games and visits the internet should know motion sensing isnt new.  but sony can say its new and revolutionary all they want.  everything does that, game developers say it to, even though its not necessarily true.  same thing for other things like movies, or music.  companies just say it to make it sound interesting and refreshing.

nintendo copied EYETOY and just broke up the controller into two parts

then they remodeled the cube into something white and plain. and called it the WII

i DO admit nintendo using the motion sensing better than eyetoy but i dont feel they were original at it.

they knew they couldn't compete GRAPHICS wise cuz sony already had billions invested in a technology that will last another 8-9 years.

and xbox 360 already has a console with latest hardware capabilities.

so what else can nintendo do besides bumping up graphics... is change controller interaction ...

by no means im against this. its good change but at the same time.. it dont feel like a real controller.

games are meant to b played by a gamepad not broken up.

and damn the ps3 is sexy.

and dont get me wrong im no fanboy. i would buy all 3 if i had the money.

having a gf means ur one broke punk.

rumour has it the new Eyetoy HD will incorperate motion sensoring abilities. it will be able to read space in 3d, therefore doing everything the original one could do, but also now reconsing a greater range of movement (basically what the wii can do but without the controllers). there was even a demo vid out (of questionable reliability i think) which showed it being used, or what it can do (think stuff like minority report, controlling robot fighters)

Didn't they show something like that called Eye of Judgement where they had trading cards and monsters appeared in 3D?

it's now thought that may be using a different type of camera. recent pictures of that game were shown with a desklamp style camera system. yes eyedentify was another video, but here's a link to what i was talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L17O43X39cg

Actually, Richard Marks (co-creator of the EyeToy) pretty much demonstrated all those features from the demo vid at the DICE Summit back in February '05. Link

They've already shown they can change a person's appearance in real-time using the cell, so there really isn't anything I don't believe is possible in that vid.
