okay what is with the amount of romours going around that EU customers got an update allowing backwards compatability for some games?

what update is this? (number)

and i know (before everyone posts this) that the only ps3 with the hardware to do this was the 60g model.

i have gta;san an on my ps2 i mite play my ps2 now and play san an, i have a 40gb ps3 so i play ps2 games on ps2

This is a dumb comment to make, as not everyone is from the US. Plus UK and EU have not yet received a price drop on the Ps2 and are still £90+

sony had mentioned a firmware update as something they were thinking about but it was never given serious thought they figured the margin of ps2 compatability fans wasnt worth the trouble
