I was wondering if it was possible to download save game files from the net for the PS2, put them onto a USB memory card, and transfer them to the PS3.

I wanted to crack out Final Fantasy X again and wanted to get some save games for the EU release, I had a go at transfering the file onto my PS3, but the save file doesnt show up when I start the game.

Are there any websites out there that can help me or anyone in here that can give me a hand? I've tried looking but have had no luck!

File structure for the USB should look like this: E:\PS3\EXPORT\PSV\ (E:\ is just an example and the CAPS are needed)

The ps3 looks in this folder for any ps2 save games, a compatible save game should look something like this

(BESLES-531556D69746368.PSV)

If it is another format such as max drive/action replay it will need to be converted, i can't do that but maybe someone else can, or you can buy an adapter for the ps3 so you can use ps2 memory card with it.

If you want to copy ps3 save games the directory is: E:\PS3\SAVEDATA the ps3 save files are in folders and you will need the whole folder to be copied to this directory for it to work.

Hope this helps, it frustrating i know i had the same problems. some files on the internet just dont work though so dont waste too much time if a file doesnt work lol
