I get to pick any system and I've picked out PS3. I have the option of getting the PS3 40gb Bundle with the Spider-Man 3 Limited Edition Blue-Ray and 1 game, or the PS3 80g Bundle which comes with Motor Storm. I'm not sure whats the real difference between the 40gb and the 80gb systems outside of hard drive space. The free movie is nice, and I could get CoD4, but if the 80gb has some better features I guess I'll go with that.
Although I have a 60 gb, it can safely be said that the 80 gb will give the consumer all the backwards compatability they need. You will get all of the neccessities in the 80 gb version.I think its actually more than 75% now.

Ok, thanks! I guess I'll go for the 80gb. I have my PS2 slim so I can still play my PS2 games if they don't play on the PS3.

Yea, I used to be very biased about the 80 gb PS3, but the software emulation is so good now that it doesn't fall short from the 60 gb other than a few issues in some ps1/ps2 titles, which are constantly being fixed with each system update. Its an excellent deal, and motorstorm seems to be a hot title at the moment, although I havent played it yet.
I would but sadly it's part of the bundle so I cannot get it. I'm going to be buying games though since this is for my birthday on Dec 18th. Since I work I'm going to be buying all the games I wanted to play. Really wanting to get CoD4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Elder Scrolls IV GOTY, and Resistance: Fall of Man, plus Assassin's Creed and more. So many great games are coming to the PS3 now.
im in the same predicament as you bro, today is my birthday and i want to ask for a ps3. Im gonna try to be as reasonable as possible and keep the price range below $500. so its either 40 gb and COD4/R&C or the 80Gb (w/ motorstorm)... i'm leaning towards the 40gb now (i didnt have a ps2 in the first place, but i was hoping to pick up some of the classics.. FFX, god of war, ykno) but COD4 >>>>> motorstorm
