which one should I get, should I buy the 40GB and get some games or wait and buy the MGS4 bundle?

im sorry, but 20 GB better than 40 GB?
40 GB lets you play wireless (REALLY important to most people) and has twice as much memory (REALLY important considering all the games with required sizable installation now) ...
those are much more important than playing last gen games on a console we all already own (and if we dont, why do we need to play ps2 games)
If you can wait, get the MGS4 bundle.
BTW, the 40gb IS better than the 20gb. With 20gb... you'd be out of space real soon, plus no wireless on the 20gb.
the thing is the 80gig in the bundle wont have backwards compatibilityswadeWho said the MGS4 bundle will not have BC... If your talking about the news that came earlier this week that bundle was for EU which was the 40gig MGSIV bundle. The US/NA has the 80 gig(BC) MGSIV bundle.
Get the 40 GB. You are going to save $100 right away that you can use to buy a game, second controller, BluRay remote or a nice HDMI cord. I mean if the only reason you want the 80 GB is for PS2 games, then just go to Gamestop and buy a used PS2 for $50. I mean with all of these awesome current PS3 games like Uncharted, Jak and Daxter, GT5 Prologue and soon to come HAZE and MGS 4, why would you want to play old PS2 games on your new console. As far as the memory thing goes, trust me when I say unless you are going to put a TON of music and video on your PS3, 40 GB of space is more than enough!!
80GB bundle by far. For an extra $100 you are getting (guesstimates)
- twice the storage space (worth ????)
-dual shock controller (worth $49.99)
-MGS4 (worth $55)
Backwards Compatibility (worth ????)
-A PS3 with more options (priceless)

Funny. And true.
I personally have the 40GB, because I couldn't find the 80 and I couldn't wait to play PS3 games and watch Blu Ray movies.
There aren't any added features to playing your PS2 games on the PS3, so really, unless your PS2 is trashed or you don't have one, a 40GB is perfectly fine.
