Hi!
I'm getting a new PS3 soon because my current Ps3's Disc Reader died on me. I know you can Transfer your old PS3 datas into a new PS3 with an Ethernet cable. I want to know if EVERYTHING will be transfered into the new PS3 if I do that? ( Copy protected save data included.). By the way, I heard that after you transfer..your old PS3 will be empty? Is it true? XD

I did it earlier this year from an 80GB model to a 320GB one. Everything transfers over - although any downloaded game will have its tag broken. So I had to go and put 'PS3' or 'PS1' back on all of them, which was really annoying. But I also have several dozen downloaded games, so your mileage may vary. All the files remain on the original PS3, except (I believe) the copy protected saves.

You mean tags in PS Store?
