unless you wrapped each of your ps3s with saran wrap, thats impossible, with a miniscule fail rate, the odds of 3 ps3s failing on one person is astronomical, ill take a stab 9,99 x 10 to the 164th powergotdaguuds2supposed to be 9.99*
You either have really bad luck or you don't know how to take care of a console. naz18h
Yeah i agree usually sony is really reliable- like i hardly see it ever break to be honest. only once for me. i think you are probably having really rotten luck. sorry to hear that though.

Sorry, but overall the ps3 is a very reliable console. I'm not saying some don't fail, but 3 seems excessive. In your case I think I'd start looking at user error instead of a hardware error.
Agree.
You must've been like one of my idiot buddies where he put his PS3 is the cabinet with the doors closed causing it to overheat. He couldn't understand why his PS3 shutdown randomnly and which it eventually failed.
Now that I told him to give it some airflow it hasn't failed yet.

i agree, one i can see two is even stretching it but 3 is starting to go down the user error road here. where do you have it stored when playing

That is also my thought here. It is fully possible, and constantly happens that all hardware can and will fail. But the PS3 is really rather reliable, with a failure rate in the low single digits. The chances of one userreceivingthis many defective units is a little out there (although not entirely impossible any means). I would check that the environment your consoles are sitting in is appropriate. The fans have room to vent. Nothing is sitting on top of it, against it, etc. Place it on a flat, open surface (eg: on top of an entertainment center, not inside it, and especially not on the carpet as the bits and pieces may engulf it) Also, is the ambient air clean? If you smoke inside a lot of dust may be getting sucked into the vents.
Again, we've never met, so I've no grounds to call you a liar (nor should I!) but either you have the most amazingly bad luck when it comes to Sony products, or something about the environment your system is residing within needs improvement.
If this was about the 360 on their board it would already be deleted.railroberto2007
On that board someone probably would have *reported* it -- something that neither you nor anyone else on this board chose to do. If you can't be bothered to do that, don't complain when a moderator doesn't see it.
That's good advice for everyone here. Don't reply to these topics, just report them. Bringing up the 360 *at* *all* is going to result in some form of moderation, with the cases of clear trolling of either the PS3 or its competition resulting in an automatic five-day suspension. Keep that in mind.
