We have been promised by Sony since the PS3 Eye released... (there will be many games for the PS3 Eye)?!? . The PS3 Eye is "closed" since that time and its still closed till this moment. Is the PS3 Eye is gonna be closed forever "Died"???????

What about other companies... they didn't release a single game featured with PS3 Eye gameplay or using the Digi-mask technology...Was the PS3 Eye a failure step from Sony?

I've said, more than once, that if they wanted card based games that they should have went with current card games (i.e Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, Pokemon, ect.). Many players agreed that they would have done better than just making up one that gets no promotion.

Not to mention the fact that some one would have to monitor the network to ban those who try to be obscene with their "face" pics (and there will be many).

Thats what i first said to myself when i heard of that EoJ game, Sony have a slightly good relationship with Konami anyway (mgs) they could have made huge money if they combined PSEye with Yugioh, damn you Sony

I like how it was implemented in Burnout, only thing is Ive finished with that game. I use the video chat a bit but everyone I know with a camera wants more. I'd like to put my face in games or at least in Home. I'd like to see it run a small window of video chat while we're in different games.

The PlayStation Eye is definitely under utilised.

They showed a prototype of a EyePet (Leipzig 2007) and Eyedentify (E3 2005),

however we has not seen anything on these titles since.

Eye of Judgment was a fantastic implementation.

I agree they could have had a run away success if it was combined with an established card franchise.

But by no means is Eye of Judgment a failure, it is a fantastic game with strong core mechanics.

If they do implement more games for the Playstaiton Eye I hope they avoid what they did with the Playstaiton 2 eye toy.

Where they just hashed out the same game play mechanise over and over. I would love an innovative title that has

depth of gameplay. Or even functionality that give an added dimension to an existing genera.

Sure I wish sony had more games that used the ps3 eye but that is kinda up to the individual developer to make it happen. Sony can only try to ask a third party developer to use it. But they can't force it. They actually did a good job of supporting eoj(I think they released some kinda booster pack or something recently). I use mine for video chat and I use eye create to take photos. They also have drivers for it on pc now I believe.

I found few good usage of my PS3 EYE.

Firstly I use it as my mic in any game, it works brilliant with crisp voice signal. Little Big Planet pictures and level creation also brings unique feel to it.

Some other games have unique support for it as well, like license for Burnout Paradise or your own head picture in Vegas 2.

As for PSN games with the EYE - I agree there. There should be more of them.

Keep an eye on EYE Pet.

Yes there are booster pack. They are also up to the thrid series of cards so tehre are now over 450 unique cards.

The cards are made my Wizards of the Coast, a major player in pen and paper RPG's and cards.

Good pick up Sokol4ever, the Playstaiton eye implemtation in Little Big Planet is fantastic.

It really opens the posibilites for level creation.

While we are on the subject of the playstation eye, I was wondering if the ps2 camera could work on the ps3. I am asking this because I dont want to pay that much for a camera just only for burnout online. I want something cheap and was hoping for the possibility of the ps2 camera being able to work. THanks

Yes the Playstaiton 2 Eye Toy will work with the Playstaiton 3.

However the resoultion and picture quality is not as good, its not as effective

in low light and doesnt have a built in microphone like the Playstation 3 Eye does.

EDIT: Also it is not compatible with EoJ.

about Magic or Yugi'oh, it would have meant re-creating 1000s of cards just for the said game, and of course re-buying cards for the technology to work ... (what the camera detects is the coded lines on top and bottom of cards ; having the entire card - picture + color + text recognised would require incredible memory)

There's EyePet coming and I guess they'll release the PS2 game where you fight with a sword
