I am not a big gamer but I do enjoy playing games every once in awhile. I've kept up with some ps3 to ps4 news but not everything. I know ps3 games will not natively work on ps4 but they are working on cloud based games. I also know some titles(newer) will be allowed one download. Have they said anything in addition for older games. I'm going to sell my ps3 soon and in not sure if I need to keep my games or not. Anything new on that front? It occurred to me this should probably be ps4 so it may need to be moved.
Sony's "goal" is to have all PS games available to stream through gaikai, supposedly this will be available next year but how many games will be available is still anyone's guess. Might as well sell all your stuff if you plan to go all in for next gen but you may have quite a while to wait before all games are available, my estimate is 5 years at least for ALL PS1/PS2/PS3 games.
Persoannly I would hang on to my PS3 until such a time that Sony launches a more rubust digital catalog of PS3 games; but that is just me. There are so many great games yet to be played I would hate not being able to play them.Â

It's not just you bro, I'm hanging on to my PS3 also! Even though I am getting the PS4, I'm not sold on cloud gaming for a variety of reasons!

i like to snag one cheap and stash it in the cupboard. I havea silver Gamecube just for that reason. They marked them down to $99AU before they stopping selling them
Don't you have to re-purchase those older PS3 games on Gakai? If so, I am assuming that those older PS3 games will be more expensive than the PS3 disc version. If PSN is selling overpriced PS2 games for $9.99, I would assume that those PS3 games on Gakai would easily be over $20-30. I would prefer the disc version at real cheap price on amazon or ebay over a cloud based game especially if the cloud based game is more expensive.
I am going to keep my ps3. They won't get any ps3 games for a long time. If you sell your ps3, you should sell all your games aswell. It doesn't have CELL, so they are useless without the console
How Gaikai will work in Europe, I wonder. Not everyone has a fast connection speed.
I just hope we get the full version, not like MS does the Live over here. That is bs from them. So i hope we get almost all games at least the us gets. Because everything else would be an insult
@The_Last_Ride: I don't know much about the MS issue, but I completely agree that the gamers in Europe should not be neglected at all.
Well they pretty much strip all the apps NA gets and barely anything else with it. Last time i checked there were 10 apps i could use on Live. I just hope GaiKai is as good as it is in NA. Because that is my main concern. NA already gets games, consoles, DLC earlier than us not to mention the exclusive apps and content. I hope that they are fair and reasonable
