PS3 HDMI to HDMI connection Problem

I just bought an Acer F-22 PC Monitor and am trying to connect it to my PS3 for HD performance.

Im connecting them using an HDMI-HDMI Cable (Monitor has HDMI port) but thing is, the screen goes black and stays that way.

Any ideas ?

I did Google, to no avail.

Yea, it's set to HDMI on both Monitor and PS3 (I connected it to my CRT TV to make sure of that). And yes, the Power is On :|
