ps3 is brokin please help JUST GOT COD 5

so i get my ps3 for christmas and im playing lbp and rainbow six vages 2 and then i go out with my christmas money 2 days later and buy cod 5. i come home play a little of lbp and then pop in cod 5. next i play online for about an hour and then it freezes. i turn it off and then pop the disk out and then it wont go back in. the disk tray thing basicly broke and it wont suck disks in. so then i turn it on with no disk and it freezes every 15 seconds and stays frozen for like 45 seconds. Im about to send it in for repairs it but i just want to give it a shot and see if any of you know a away to fix this without sending it in. PLEASE RESPOND

There is a reset on the PS3. I think you turn it off in the back, push and hold the on button when starting or just google reset ps3. I never had to do it. Anyone else know how?

You must be doing something wrong because PS3s don't just break like that.

Unplug everything, re-plug then try again.

If you just got it for christmas then give it back to the store you can return it to the store for a brand new for free if it is within 30 days so no need to send in for repairsPilgorTheMighty

Try resetting and if that doesn't work , call Sony.

You should check the store to see what their return policy is. Otherwise as long as you have a copy of the receipt then Sony will fix it for free up to a year from purchase. If you dont have the receipt Sony will basically tell you to **** off as they did to me when my 80gig got the 80010514 death code. Trust me, no matter what anybody says Sony will not fix it for free if you dont have the receipt. Maybe way back in the day they did but I can assure you they dont now. I talked to 3 supervisors as pissed off as I was and all three all told me the same thing that I had to have my receipt.
