I got the ylod so i paid 150 for another but. This one is kinda loud compare to my old one. It beats the 360 in a whos louder contest.

I understand that the loud noise is just the fan doing its work. So my question is will this hurt anything?

Also this is alittle anoying and i do have 90 days for exchange.

well it shouldn't be any louder than a 360. its probably an old refurb and running hot.

just tell em its broken or something and send it back :P

Mines pretty quite all the time.. Mine sits out with great ventilation though. Maybe that would help.

You probably need it in a better ventilated area. When mine is sitting in the shelving unit the fan runs, so I pull it out while I'm playing and it never runs. Hazaa!
