If my built in ps3 memory card fills up, can i just go buy an external memory card?

so does the ps3 have a memory card slot like the ps2 has that if the built in memory card fills up i can just buy an external one and plug it in?

Well no it's a HDD kind of like a computer. More HDD space can be added if needed. But I think there are external things that you can keep game data on like a memory stick or something.

basically what the guy above me said. its a hard drive, not an internal memory card...

if you fill it up, you can buy another one (2.5" hard drive) and switch em. or, you could buy an external hard drive and use it... or even a memory stick, usb flash drive, SD card, and some others. as you can see, theres a lot of options (unlike the 360 hehe... i have a 360 too so dont call be a troll :p)

you can buy an external HDD. or you could get a USB flash drive and save game data on that

Make sure when you upgrade you're hadd, that its a 2.5" sata 5400rpm. If you have more questions comeback here to the forums. And no swapping out your internal hdd will not void the warranty.
