to me it does not mater look for a tv with a high contrast ratio like 3000:1 or higher if you can, good response times like 8ms or if lower great, and good colors something that will say deeper blacks brighter whites resolution is the last thing you should worry about when debating 720p to 1080p IMOKurupSoldr
Wich is better for 36" plasma or lcd? I heard plasma's have 0 ms response time and contrast ratio's upto 10000:1, but then again lcd's have better brightness and use less electricity and dont have burn-in.

I disagree that Plasmas are better than LCDs...
Also with a lot of plasmas.. (however I have heard claims that there starting to resolve this with newer or more expensive plasmas) that the Ammo counters and Radar/timers etc burn in to the TV.. irreversable damage!!

Plasmas have the worst response times and burn in for games. LCD seems to be the best when playing video games. And btw, no on makes a 36" 1080p set, it would be a waste. Anything lower than 40 isn't barely noticeable unless you sit 6 inches away from the screen.

You really should never post again in a tv thread.
THX seating distances are more than close enough to see 1080p vs 720p/1080i. And plasmas are the second best way to play a video game , behind CRTs. Embarassing how people come into forums and say random crap that is as inaccurate as possible.Â
