PS3 Slim for $120?? Help Please

Ok so the title of this topic may be a bit misleading, but ive heard from a lot of you guys that i can exchange my fat ps3 for a slim by paying $120? i would like to know more about that, any help or information would be highly appreciated.

My friend actually just got the YLOD with his ps3 and they gave him a slim for $120

Yeah they lowered the price from $150 to $120, but after tax and shipping I ended up paying $160 (WTF???)
